Yes, VO Coding will wipe out custom FDL Coding by BimmerCode or E-Sys.

Dealer can tell car is coded, but they have to look for it, and they reality is they don't look, because they don't care.

Hello,

I’m back in the BMW world with a 2022 330e. I performed an i-level update using e-sys 3.35.2 and PSdZData 4.50.40 Full.

I didn’t have any issues with most of the ECUs, except for the HU.

The update stopped with an error message, and now I have a blue screen…

I’ve attached the update process log showing the error.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

ETHERNET error. Try changing Protocol in Flash TAL for each MGU firmware file from HTTP to UDS and rerunning TAL.

For the DKOMBI8 and the WAVE ECUs, I have the following error.
I did not have any issue with the other ECUs.
And I have a full database.
Any idea?

DKOMBI8 and WAVE I believe are Secure Code 2.0 ECU, which cannot be coded without a backend connection to BMW Server, this they have no CAFD's in psdzdata.

As for the missing descriptive text, for FDL Coding, E-Sys requires a 3rd Party “Mapping” application such as BimmerUtility as it Provides CAFD Mapping. Back in Nov 2014, BMW AG made changes to PSdZData beginning with 54.2 PSdZData where they removed (trimmed) all descriptive text from CAFD and FAFP files, making FDL Coding of ECU's difficult, as the FDL Codes can no longer be easily located. The "Mapping" application dynamically maps the trimmed data back into CAFD file making FDL Coding possible.

I've completed all updates (except DKOMBI8 and WAVE).

Since my car is from Japan, I modified the FA and replaced the Japanese language with English using BimmerUtility. Then, I coded the HU and RAM.

New issues to resolve:

Navigation isn't starting anymore. It keeps loading indefinitely.
I've downloaded the Middle East map and placed it on a USB key.
However, before proceeding, do I need to change the country in the HU?
If so, do you know the country code for Mauritius?

Android Auto is still not available (it was the same issue when the system was in Japanese).
In the HU FDL, all Android-related settings are set to aktiv.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Same issue with Spotify and the BMW app.

You can't just code car from Japan to Middle East. You need new FSC Code(s). Your PM function is disabled. Send one when enabled.
