Hi

When I purchased my 2020 M340i this summer, it came without ambiant lighting, no wireless charger, no comfort access... I can definitely live without it but wouldn't mind to retrofit it.

Since she was born during the pandemic, there was a a shortage of multiple parts, but I was wondering if the cabling/wiring was already done so I would only have to change the trims and benefit from it.

Is there a way to check if it's the case?

Any advice, suggestions are welcome... would be nice to retrofit the comfort access as well 😬

I bought a 2019 without comfort access but made sure it had ambient lighting. A retrofit would be a huge undertaking - probably not worth the effort and time, IMO. Also, I think you'd need to reprogram the car so that could control the brightness and change the colors.

If I were you, I'd trade in (or sell) my car in exchange for one that has ambient lighting. Probably better time and money spent.

I don't have comfort access either... wish I'd retrofit that first tho.

yo bro, I retrofitted ambient lighting in my g20 and it was super easy after doing my research. It took a day to install myself.
