He/she probably means getting the OEM parts since BMW officially provides a power tailgate in some regions.

I tried DIY, you can do it or search bmw tuning shop.

yes, I've installed this on my 2021 330e. Works a treat. No coding required.

I tried to get parts from my dealer and they weren't interested in helping me. So I went for this retrofit kit.

Had one in my F30 - worked perfectly well.

Don't know about the price now, cause 800$ seems quite a lot

Currently at 47K, power tailgate fitted from factory. No issues with it so far.

I'm almost done with this retrofit also, OEM, waiting for my last part , the lock. For now I did everything including the 2 buttons , one on the driver's door and the other on the tailgate lid. The one inside the trunk is working, I mean it does trigger the old lock , but the one on the driver door no. And when I try to look for it's statusin ISTA it is saying SIGNAL INVALID. All wires are correctly done, double, triple checked them. It is lighting up, but it does nothing when I click on it. Any idea if I have to replace drivers door buttons also?
