Best Quad Tips For MPE
Does anyone have experience fitting aftermarket quad tips on the MPE? I’ve heard that the quad tips stick out too far on the MPE as the tailpipes comes out further than stock exhaust.
I found some clamp tips on aliexpress I was going to try but wanted some opinions first. Has anyone fitted quad tips to MPE? How’s the fitment? Pics? |

I had to cut about a 1/2" off the top of the tail pipes to get a more flush fit. When attaching the new tips I had one clamp tighten to the top of the tail pipe and one clamp to the bottom of the tail pipe to help help the tips level.

Do you mind sharing where you got these tips from? Even with you cutting them back, I personally would like the quad tips more flush with the bumper/ rear diffuser. Might be a trial and error thing

Put these on my daughter's car. Got them used on this forum. I could probably actually pull them out another 1/2 - 1" but I wanted them tucked in.
https://infiniteautowerks.com/shop/e...Carbon+-+Black They have a note about the MPE exhaust and possibly needing to cut 1/2 - 1" off to adjust the reveal. |

I have a 2021 M340i with MPE , I got these tips at aibaba with no cutting. Intalled myself but was a little off so I took it to a local muffler shop and they adjusted them for like $20 bucks and spot welded the screws
For the tips I had paid $100 and looks like they increased the price to $143 Last edited by M340I///M; 10-17-2024 at 10:02 PM.. |

Think I’ll pull them out another inch. Hers is non-MPE I think but according to the Mfg, worst case you need to take an inch off the tailpipes of MPE and it doesn’t affect the ability to go back to stock if desired.

I have MPE and am just waiting for the delivery of the same tips you have from IA. I'll post pics to show the difference as soon as I get them on. |

Here is my setup. I have MPE and didn't cut anything
I probably put these on too deep and that's why it's slanted. I prefer the tucked-in look and it looks fine straight on though. Apologies for the bad pics, will try to get the outside and get better angles when it's not so cold |

What you need to do is take one of the clamps off and put it so it goes over the outer edge of the pipe. One clamp should go around the bottom of the pipe and the other should go around the top. Hope that makes sense. H |
