My 2022 M340d Touring in Dravit Grey

It’s been a month now since I collected my new M340d Touring from my local dealership. What a car, quiet, comfortable, and and absolute rocket ship! Similar fuel consumption to my F31 320d which is ridiculous giving this has another turbo and two extra cylinders.

Give me a follow on instagram for more photos: @lordnathandrury

A brief overview on spec:
• G21 M340d Touring in Individual Dravit Grey
• Laser Lights
• Tow Bar
• Drive recorder
• Heated Steering wheel
• Panoramic Glass Roof
• Park Assist Plus
• Harmon Kardon
• Full M Performance kit:
• Front Splitter/ Skirts/ Rear Diffuser in gloss black
• M Performance boot spoiler painted in Dravit grey to match

It’s just been treated to a GYEON Quartz ceramic coating too – including the insides of the wheels, brake calipers and brake bells too!

And out of the garage:

Thanks!

Awesome - so if all goes well a June/ July delivery? It's such a good engine and overall package - you'll love it!

Hi All,

Instead of starting a new thread every time, it makes sense to just update this..

So, a year ago i fitted AC Schnitzer lowering springs and 13mm spacers all round

Sometime around this period i also switched out the run flats to Michelin PS4S'

Acs springs

before:

after (still needs to settle):

And most recently, i switched out the standard wheels for some Apex VS-5RS in Motorsport Gold. 19x9 up front with 235/40/19 Michelin PS4S and 19x10 rears with 265/35/19 Michelin PS4S.

I bought the wheels as six months or so ago i got a bargain big brake kit. These were removed from a brand new G05 X5 that had covered just 100 miles - however, being 395mm up front they didnt fit under my 792m wheels. I've always loved the VS-5RS and knew these had clearance for big brakes. My daughter helped me choose the colour - at nine years old she said "Daddy, if you come first you win gold - so it makes sense to get the gold ones, as you're winning. Silver means second and Bronze means third..."

Here's a few photos before i fitted the brakes:

Looking good - I am partial to gold wheels on a grey car, particularly Dravit as it has a goldish fleck in it

Just one question - how's insurance following these mods?!
It's bad enough with just MP spoiler, skirts and diffuser. My experience from renewing last month is most insurers on the comparison sites are fine with 3 mods but not four....

Thanks, mate! That was exactly what i thought, the gold of the wheels compliments the gold in the dravit grey.

I listed my M Performance kit as a factory fit part, as I bought the car new and had this installed by the dealer. I told my insurance company i fitted aftermarket wheels and they charged me a one-off charge of £20.

Such a nice combo gold wheels with dravit grey. Do you feel an increase in stopping power?

Thanks mate! I would say breaking is better yes, maybe by 10%. I always felt the standard setup was a little insufficient, it felt quite 'un-servo assisted' if that makes sense. Where as now, there is a little more bit, and it holds better instead of having to plant your foot harder.

Plus they look A LOT cooler!
