Hi fellow BMW enthousiasts,

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has done an oil filter housing replacement and what your experiences are with it. I watched a yt video from FCP Euro recommending to replace it around 60k miles because the plastic can get soft and eventually start leaking. Or even getting coolant and engine oil mixed together. They stated its the achilles heel of the B48tu engine. My G21 is at 103k km so it should be replaced according to their advise. Did anyone replace it on the B48tu? And if so at what milage? Like I said just looking for your experiences and if you have pictures of what the original oil filter housing looked like. Im very interested to see it.

Following. I know it's a really common issue on the gen 1 B48/B58 cars but I haven't heard much of them going bad on the gen 2 cars.
