I just installed the M Sport brakes on my 330i. The front calipers are off a M340i and the rear are off a premium A90 Supra. Unfortunately, I am experiencing the mushy brake pedal issue. The car stops but I feel as though the stock floating calipers had more bite. I am currently running the stock brake booster and master cylinder. I just purchased a brake booster from a premium Supra and plan on installing it in the coming weeks. I am going to try coding the M Sport brakes first to see if that makes any difference and report back. Last edited by sheddz_; 10-15-2024 at 04:48 PM.. |

You definitely need the coding done.
My US-spec 330i M-sport had the crap gray brakes... I got a like new set (all four corners) of M-sport blue brakes off of an M340i. Local shop did the install, along with Turner stainless lines and Motul 660 fluid. They also recoded to M-sport. The setup works amazing. I've had it about 18 months without issue... that's with Autobahn runs and Nordschleife laps too. |

I don't mind grey caliper in rear at all. Just wanted to confirm operational functionality with m sport front brakes so i don't run into problems. One last question, can you upgrade size of rotors with stock grey calipers or just leave it like that?

Yup. The 2.0 Supra has the same base brakes as the 330i. Base 3.0 just has the front Brembo and premium 3.0 has the same front and rear M sport brakes. I think the M sport brakes provide adequate braking for the Supra. There’s a lot of aftermarket brake systems as well. I just love that certain parts are interchangeable between both platforms.

Took it to BMW. Because all the parts were genuine OEM, it was no problem. Get the full kit and the brake booster and let them do the work. For me, it was worth taking it to the pros and I think it was somewhere around $1200.
