Yesterday I got my used BMW 320i but I had some issues with adding the car to the My BMW app to use connected drive services. So I called the BMW customer services and they told me that the integrated simcard was 'waved'/deactivated and that maybe a visit to the dealer will solve it. He wasn't sure. Do any of you know know more of this or have any experience?
The guy told me that a lot of drivers deactivate the simcard because they don't want to use the services and see it as a risk.

One can see the location of the car and driving data in mobile app. I suppose the car sends to some database from where the app fetches it. Some people might not like that.

If car is sold as diplomatic, integrated sim card would be disabled from factory. Unfortunately i don't have information on how to enable it in this case
