I dont like it because with the regular sport view (not m mode override), I have the shift lights in my HUD which is much more desirable to me. M mode also took away the tachometer from the HUD, which is more important to me than the shift lights. . . I love the look of the M mode, if it didn't mess up my HUD and not show me what drive mode its in I would keep it. |

Side note - Id love a non linear tach in the HUD. A round gauge would be so awesome, along with a gear indicator. They got so close to really cool.

What’s your car model/year? Unfortunately I have the default M with Shift lights layout checked as well but that doesn’t show me the shift lights hence attempting expert mode changes. I did get the M HUD to work on my 21 M40i, looks good! Just not the shift lights yet

HMI_VORWARNFELD_FALLBACK_RE (custom value 70) and red got 6200rpm. HMI_VORWARNFELD_FALLBACK_YE (custom value 60) and got yellow 5800rpm. basically you can type in a number and try it, the smaller the number, the lower the red and yellow rpm. of course the yellow number must always be lower than the red number. done with bimmeruntility probably the same with bimmercode. |

If you want to calculate the value to code for the engine RPM threshold, here is the correct method:
Conversion formula: Desired RPM value / 50 = decimal number to convert into HEX Once you obtain the HEX value, that is the number you must write into the coding parameter. Example: 5500 rpm / 50 = 110 110 (decimal) = 6E (hex) So the correct coding value to enter is: 6E |
