retrofit blindspot detection
Hello everyone,
I’m new to the forum so apologies in advance if this has already been covered or if i’m on the wrong thread. I have a 2020 BMW M340i that didn’t come with blind spot detection from the factory, and I’m wondering if it’s possible to retrofit OEM-style blind spot monitoring (the mirror warning lights, not an aftermarket camera system). If it is possible: • Does it require coding? • Is it mostly plug-and-play, or does it involve running new wiring/modules? • Has anyone here done it or had it done professionally? |

Hello, I'm planning to upgrade my blind spots myself. This requires replacing the mirrors with lane assist, installing radars in the rear bumper and making a wiring harness from these radars, connecting the one at the back in the module, I think it's a rem us, a mirror folding switch and changing the installation of these mirrors. It's quite simple to do, of course, coding is best with esys.
