Mine has been at the Baltimore port since 1/12 and was supposed to be picked up by the carrier on 1/15. I don't have any stop sales. Does My Garage update to "In Transit" when it is on the way to the dealer? I have heard various things from Genius so just curious what those of you who are on the way to the dealer are seeing/how you know?

Mine went backwards a step today from In Transit and now it's back to "at the port" status code from the website data shows 193 port of exit, so thats weird.

In Transit sometimes refers to any movement of the car being transported. For example, if being transported from the actual port to the VPC. I believe there's a way you can dig up the source code of the BMW MyGarage page to find out exactly what step or type of "transit" the car is in.

In other news, I picked up my M340i today. Arrived at Oxnard on 12/20, RAM stop sale cleared this past Friday on 1/21. So pretty much exactly a month.

I am happy to finally report that the two sales on my m340 (HK audio) are finally closed. The car had the RAM stop sale and a software update. The car was delivered to the Baltimore VPC in early October with a work order opened on 10/15. Closed this morning (1/25) and expected to be here in the next week or so.

3+ months waiting for a work order to close? Damn!!

Congrats on the build completion! I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

My car officially arrived at the port Sunday and it's stopped to get a check for the HK amplifier. Fortunate that it's just the one issue I guess.

Is this the "HK module" that people refer to?

Visit https://bmw-recall-tool.netlify.app/ and enter your VIN. Defect code 0065600300 pertains to an amplifier - likely related to the H/K sound system (the car I ordered with H/K had that code.)

Thanks, yeah that's exactly what I did. I just read a number of people waiting a month for an "HK module" and wasn't sure if that was what they saw in the tool.

I ran my VIN again this morning and it went from open (yesterday) to closed (today).

How long does it typically take for the dealer to take possession of the car once its closed?

Should be quick. Mine closed on Friday and the dealer had the car Monday night, it got picked up from the port and delivered Monday. My dealer is 3 hrs drive from the port though, so YMMV.

What ports were your cars at and for how long before the work order closed?

NJ VPC, the ship got there on 12/30. Genius told me it "officially" arrived 1/4 with work order opened on 1/6, and closed on 1/21. The BMW VIN tool was showing the stop sale opened since since it left the factory in Germany...

How long did it take for your MyGarage status change from "At the Port" after the work orders closed, if it did at all?

Mine closed on Friday as well, but MyGarage shows At the port.

That will depend on when the truck shows up to pick up the car. It's possible that a pickup is scheduled but hasn't happened yet.

In my case, a truck was scheduled the same day my work order closed. When I checked MyGarage at the end of the day, the car was already showing In Transit.

Looks like my car was processed into the Galveston VPC yesterday morning.

Still needs the RAM module recall done and also is getting some MPerformance goodies so we'll see how long it winds up getting stuck there for. It honestly wouldn't bother me if it takes another month, we're in the thick of winter here in NY anyway.

Depends on the truck availability. Mine work orders closed on Friday, Monday late after noon went from At the Port to In Transit.

And it’s now in transit to the dealer in the Bay Area. Yay!

Mine just updated to In Transit so it took approx 5 days after the work order closing to be picked by a truck. When will yours be ready at the dealership?
