I remember in the early 2000s the high for Phoenix was between 107-110F, it’s gotten to 117 or 118 the past few years. With the population continuing to increase I’m wondering how long before the summers are steadily in the 120s here

We drove up to our place in Asheville yesterday. Perfect day today weather-wise. Much better than the heat we left behind. Hope it holds up all week.

Stopped in Pooler, GA (Savannah area) for lunch yesterday and think it was hotter than FL.

I was out there for business in 2013. I remember it being 113 for days at a time. The cloth seats in my rental car were hot, which is the only time I can remember cloth seats being hot.

Yep I’m counting down the days till I get out of this hellhole and up to Raleigh, should be 4-6 weeks. All of my immediate family is here and have no plans on leaving so I’ll come back to visit in January, they can have the heat and soaring prices. Myself, I’m liking the cold more and more as I age…just so long as I don’t have to shovel snow out of the driveway

Yeah, seems like the last few years they say things like "the last year was the hottest on record." And it just keeps getting hotter.

That’s definitely the case here, it feels like everyday on the radio they announce the forecast followed by how much hotter it is than historical averages. Correct me if I’m wrong, but with Biden allowing 15% ethanol to help ease prices, the greenhouse effect is just going to accelerate

I'm curious what you thought of today's highs? I went through Asheville on I-40 to I-26 early this morning, and the fog was just burning off with temps around 60F. When we got to the SC midlands around noon, it was 90F and too hot to be out in the sun.....

SC much hotter than here. It was about 80 as a high here today and we had the top down as we drove around. Sitting outside for dinner now in mid 70s. Very comfortable.

It was absolutely beautiful here today! Hardly a cloud in the sky and the temp hit about 26c with a light breeze all day. After working outside all day I came in and the house was warm enough that I thought about turning on the AC... didn't, but thought about it.

Pretty good.

On a 4 days West Coast trip to Vancouver BC and while the forecast at the time was rain on all 4 days we have not had a drop yet...

The running joke is that summer starts after July 4th... but is it really a joke though given the days of rain we've had (Oregon)?

June gloom is definitely here. I work within sight of the coast, so may not see the sun here again until September. But driving to just north of the 101, and it was a sunny 77 yesterday. Moving up towards mid-80s for weekend.

That inland sun is what sucks in the June gloom on the coast.

I wish it were June gloom here in the Inland Empire. The heat is on.

Bet the coast feels nice, Wede.

Cloudy, 64 here at work. I prefer the upper 70s - mid 80s at home.
