BMW has lost it's way. Looks more like every other car on the road. I hate to say it but Benz has been doing a better job style wise.

I like the front... it's aggressive and I feel people will come around to it when they see it on the road. Is the front elegant and timeless like the e92 was, or even an F32 to a lesser extent? Not at all, but it works, IMO.

I'm much more displeased with the C-pillar treatment than anything else. Without the Hoff kink it becomes a more generic sports coupe a la A5 or Infiniti.

Ironically, I'm still not a huge fan of the G20 front end. I think the rear end is fantastic in person/on the road. I'm still eagerly looking forward to the G80 6mt as a potential replacement for my M2.

The character line went through or was a hair over/under the door handles on every Bangle model where it made sense. For some designs it just doesn't make sense because the physical size and porprtions of the vehicle have some bearing on the placement of the handles.

That's not what I wrote. The 4 series is just one example out of a list of releases that are considered a sucker punch. Especially the kidney grills seem to be the instrument of choice lately to offend its fan base.

I owned 3 BMW cars in a row! I was looking forward to buy a new M4! I lost interest because design is not for me. I'm still a fan of many BMW cars, but definitely not the new era. Going to go with a Porsche or C8.

Exactly! I don't know why people are spazzing out. This picture RNM posted looks really good IMO. Even if people disagree, I think it's a stretch to call it disgusting. It's about as disgusting as Audi's original shield grille... which everyone came to like and no where near as polarizing as Lexus's predator grille... which no one goes crazy about anymore. It's also not nearly as poorly designed as the bangle butt on the old school 6 and 7 series which until the very last of it's design looked like complete incohesive trash. I would think people would be used to the giant shield grilles now as so many auto mfgs do this...
