Did it with warm engine and miles covered. Maybe I need to put my foot down on the throttle a bit more....

Yep - pressing all the way fixed it for me - I was expecting the launch control notification to come on as soon as I started to press the accelerator so kept backing off thinking something was wrong. It doesn't feel as violent as the Golf R MK7.5, but it's quicker.

I've yet to try launch control in my M340i, but I will try it out this summer at some point.
The one thing I wondered though is if it's possible (using Bimmerlink or similar) to find out how many times launch control has previously been activated? I'm just curious, and since I bought the car used at 2.5 years old. Anybody know? TIA |

BMW dealers can definitely see it. Older cars had a "ANZ_RENNSTART_WERT" value that displays the number of launches but I don't know if that's still present on the G models.

Searching for just "ANZ_RENNSTART_WERT" I found references to a tool simply called "Tool32" but it was from 2017 on a M5 forum, so that's not going to work either. Oh well! Worth asking! |
