Dyno test results - G20 330i with a Turbo Transformer Tune.
Ok so. Here's my full post on the turbo transformer.
https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...8#post27074288 For those of you that just wanted Dyno results. Here's what I have for now. Will add some more numbers of road tests after I setup with a dragy box. T-T setting at +3 psi: 290 hp, 360 lb-ft Stock (baseline run): 252 hp, 278 lb-ft Performance gains: +39 hp, +70 lb-ft Edit We did measure 292 hp in one of the runs, attaching the .txt file here. I requested the shop to send me a corresponding plot but I am still waiting for their response. We didn't use that for an A-B comparison because the plot looked somewhat ugly. custom 4th 2 - G20noob.Txt Thanks, G20noob Last edited by G20noob; 01-04-2021 at 01:58 PM.. |

Thanks for pointing that out. I edited my original post and added details from a second run. I really wish I had a bit more time to plot exactly what we needed while we were at the dyno. |

I love watching how the car unloads (56-57 secs into the video).

G20noob You definitely convinced me to go with the TT - ordered mine today. Don't play on doing much else. Do you mind sharing your custom settings for the 3 psi tune?

Delta at +3.2 psi; Base 7.5 psi, Slope of 0.4 After doing all these dyno tests, I've actually eased off quite a bit on my driving style. So now I'm able to use Eco or Adaptive for most of my driving, and I use Sport or Sport+ only when I really need it. I don't have coast mode enabled on comfort or adaptive (via bimmercode) but when I get to, I think that will be handy for extending that gas mileage. With all that, I'm getting an average of 28-33mpg depending on how much freeway driving I'm able to do. Let me know if you have any questions when you get going. |

I bet. I'm honestly not looking for overall power, just usable power and torque in the lower RPM range. This is what convinced me when looking at your dyno graph. |

Hi boy's/girl's,
Just installed my TT module. Pretty straight forward and love the data via Bluetooth, as well the custom option to manual tune some perimeters. In addition, this module intercepts two of the points from where the ECU receives its boost pressure signals, making it smoother for your ECU. Tuning wise, I stayed on the base +2psi, dropped the transition point, and smoothed out the curve. Very impressed with the results! Holly freaking smoke the car is quick. For me what was most important was the mid-range gains, and if you look at the dyno graphs, you gain around 70 wheel torque. Overall, it's made the car more fun to drive and well worth the cost. Outside of spirited driving, the car drives as if nothing has been changed and the MPG stays the same(unless in heavy boost). You can even lower the factory boost to get better MPG on a trip if you wanted to. Lastly, I to was concerned about the credibility of the company and experience. However, after speaking with the owner himself, he put that to rest quite quickly. FYI, he is an engineer who helped develop these piggybacks for big names and still consults. So don't be a brand whore and give the TT module a shot, you will not be disappointed. All in all, I highly recommend this module and will continue to update this thread as I put more mileage on my car. Last edited by TheDudeMan; 02-15-2021 at 07:27 PM.. |

TheDudeMan, thanks for that. I feel the same way and I feel like it's just the right amount of boost that I needed in certain driving situations. In the bay area there aren't many places with higher quality fuel, but when I can, I try to get some higher octane fuel from the Sunol Super Stop and it does seem to help. I'm eager to see what TT comes up with next, and I'm glad I picked this for my ride. |

Love the adjustments available on the TT model to fine-tune things. After two weeks of driving around, I bumped up the boost by half point and lowered the activation point. It definitely helped make the midrange even more torquey.
It's enough for the car to break the rear end loose when you accelerate in sport + with launch control. |

Delta 2.6 I'll get the slope toy up sometime tomorrow, but I made the transition as smooth as possible. Never thought I would say this, but I want to bump it up to a delta of 3 - it's freaking addicting. My MPGs have substantially dropped from getting into the boost all the time. |

Here is the exact tune. I'm thinking of bumping up the boost to a delta of 3. It's freaking addictive. I may need to delete the app so I stop looking at it.
