Yes, touring. Frankly it doesnt bother me so much. After all TC Performance tuner can program pops&bangs. Still wanna buy bimmer. It is like with chicks - great to have one with nice tits. But it isnt the major argument to be with her :P

Hi noob question here - I unplugged the flap a while back but have an upcoming service appoint for a rattle so I want to plug it back in so they don't say that's what the rattle is. Can I plug it back in at any time or does the car need to be in sport mode where the valve should be open like when I unplugged it?

I have a JB4 and it has the option to leave the CANflap open all the time. So I chose the easy way out and enabled that in the JB4. It’s open all the time now

I just did this to my g20 330 as well but noticed a few things.
Before in sport mode I would get a decent amount of burbles in sport mode, and while revving.
After removing the receiver to keep the valve open the car definitely sounds a bit louder while turning the engine on.
But I feel like I hear 25% less burbles, I know hear more of the turbo spewl whistle which I did not used to hear before.
Anyone else experience this?

I 3D printed the connector linked around in other threads, but I was wondering if anyone knows if there are male/female caps with the rubber gaskets available anywhere? Otherwise I'll just keep this and use some heat shrink tubing or something around it.

Exhaust flap

I noticed that the exhaust flap opens in sports plus when in P or N but as soon as you put it in drive i could hear the valve shut don't know why it happens
i guess there is some rpm level where it opens.
is there any way to code in that the flap should always be open in sports plus mode.
similar to the JCW detonator.

Going to do this tomorrow but I had a question:

What's the longest you guys have left the valve open and the connector unplugged?

Does the valve move or close its self over time or it's sturdy? If I like the sound chances are I won't plug it back in ever..

I just did it but I couldn't do the way where you can plug it in with tape, it felt like it would get loose.

You guys think this is safe?

I hardly notice a difference in fact I may plug it back in. With sport mode on I can hear a little more pops in the lower rpm range but when acceleration I can't tell a difference in sound I have a 2021 330i.

Well it's disconnected I'm not understanding what you mean by isolate them…I tried to fit it in between the black plastic liner but it wouldn't fit in.

If you don't insulate the female part, water will get in and oxidize, which will force you to replace the valve
