Yes no more Zoom Zoom for while

Here is another funny thing I discovered today.

I drove up my driveway (steep) and put it into Park.

Opened the door , just about to get out, but then forgot something and closed the door but only partially.

Tried to put it into Drive to drive into the garage , but it went back to Park , and I thought "What the Hell" is the transmission broken already !!
Tried to engage Drive like 5 times each time , went back to Park , my heart dropped.

Then I realized door not closed cannot put it into Drive hahahahahah
As soon as I closed the door Drive engaged

What kind of crazy car doesn't let you drive with the door open? You should report it to BMW

poor old bmw, wouldn't make much of a farm car.

you need the door open so you can jump back in while feeding hay to your mob of animals!!

Love the car but a few things are annoying as below:

- hate the passenger side seatbelt knocking against the b pillar interior when not in use (think same issue was reported in a YouTube review)

- would have loved for the standard sound system to play a little louder, also feels like you need to wait a long time to increase/decrease volume when turning the knob

- head up display at night has a squarish outline in the windscreen highlighting the entire projection area .. not a big deal but feels like a whit screen in the windscreen rather than just the speed numbers

Minor issues really - but what a great car overall !

Turn down the brightness of the HUD and you won't see that background.

I fixed the seat belt knocking by adjusting the slider on the belt so the actual buckle sits higher.

I agree on the sound system. Like most systems playing music via a wired connection (i.e. plug your phone in) rather than through Bluetooth helps. I've kinda been thinking of upgrading the speakers. It's not that the system is bad its just that my previously cheaper car sounded overall 'better'.

Some makers do plug and play speaker replacements.

- Bavsound stage 1; or
- Eton BW100s in the doors and center.
- Focal also sell replacements.
- Bimmer tech Alpha 1 speakers

Cross Traffic Alert still doesn't work
Dealer said it was a software conflict with ACP with no fix to date

Does anyone's actually work and if so what software version are you running

After reading a few posts about rear cross traffic alert not working, I went out of my way to test it by backing out halfway into the street. Only one car went by before I gave up (thanks Rona) but it did beep and I got some red on the reversing screen.
My car has 3/2020.40

I do remember during my test drive of a a330i last year it also worked.

Mine has activated a few times but I have not gone out of my way to test it.

Dipping Left Side Mirror View

Hi All

A small niggle.

It seems when I park my car next to the kerb I can never get the spacing right when I parallel park

In the mirror it seems I am very close to the kerb but when I get out and look there is lots of space

So just need to get used to it but don't want to be too aggressive and scratch my mags

So constantly getting in and out of the car to check 😄

Yep. I have the same issue.
The surround view on my previous F30 seemed much clearer. I think the graphic was bigger as well.
Like you, I seem to need a taxi to get to the kerb, but I’d rather have this than damage a rim.

Try using the parking assistant (if you have it). When I use it, it gets close to the kerb without scratching the bewdiful mags!

Ah , yes never been brave enough to try this, is it 100% accurate, don't want to engage it and then it curbs my pristine mags

'Hans' does a pretty mean reverse park when he finds a park. It's pretty good and when he does his park he does it very fast. I can see how it would freak people out.

So far when I've tried it he has been very accurate. But I remember from a review of a GTI a few years back the reviewer destroyed the alloy wheels using the auto park feature. I'd just prefer to do it myself.

I noticed today that I don't have wheel lock nuts on any of the wheels of my M340i, they are all just the standard 17mm wheel nuts. The past few Bmw's that I've owned had one wheel lock nut on each wheel. I had a look in the tool kit and there's a spot for the wheel lock nut key, but it's empty.

So my question is, did your G20 come with wheel lock nuts or is this not standard anymore?

Trust it. It has never let me down (or kerbed the alloys)!

Had the opposite experience today. I was driving on a main road slowing down for an approaching red light. There was a Disco pulling up suddenly from a highish speed to a Stop sign on my left.

X traffic alert must have sensed that the Disco wasn't going to stop, so the 'fireworks' started. The brakes slammed on with the ABS activating. Warning buzzer activated and red side view of a car 🚗 flashed on. It was quite a show! Heartbeat accelerated a few beats as well!
