I let them take all the time they need to get it right. I had one rush, and I could tell what part he did last because it was sloppy. It all had to be redone.

He's not working on it for 3 full days (you can tell by what they charge) so ask him what the extra time is needed for. My similar job was done while I waited, told me to come back if I wasn't happy with any of the edges. I could possibly see letting it sit overnight but not following what more days helps.

You either trust your guy or you don't. If not find somewhere else.
If they are a busy shop doing high end work, i don't see a problem. 1 day shops, i'd be weary to see if they do good prep, good results, or are they churning thru cars rapidly with sub par work? What's more important to you? quick but not so good work, or a better job with more time taken.

Not long ago, I had my bumper, grille, and headlights done in XPEL. Dropped car off in the morn, picked it up at end of day. Reputable O.C. shop with 4-5 installers. When I picked up the car, owner said he did the install himself. Good work.
Three days for requested work appears to be above average wait times. |

I would trust more of a shop wants more time than one tells me to pick it up tomorrow. When a shop has your car there, every day passes is a day at the least they lose a space to put another prospect customer’s car in there, and another day without getting paid by you. If they are saying more days, only reason is because they’d want to do a quality job and get it done right so they don’t have to see you coming back for issues they have to fix later which can really disrupt with their business end up costing them and their reputation. So while I don’t mind using mobile services for many things like car wash/detailing or rim scratch repair, ppf is a no no. A reputable established shop (not someone’s garage) with a clean nicely presented facility that works on expensive exotic cars on regular basis is a place you can assume the least risk.
