They went a step behind in rear caliper design. It looks like someone spray painted the caliper of a Honda. The F series caliper was a much better design.

The commercial was extremely stylized....

Apparently they couldn't bare stay on the vehicle itself because even they couldn't stand seeing that massively ugly grille.

It’s worse the more I look at it. There’s like a mustache effect to it if you look closely. Frankly it’s comically bad for several reasons.

I gave it a couple of days to sink in, though, I had a pretty good idea of how the grill would look like from the recent spy shots. The only angle that it looks semi-ok is from the front quarter.
I don't find the front aggressive nor sporty. Luckily, I want four doors but I'm now concerned about the M3, and my interest kind of decreased.
My Audi friend won't see it so I can say that I have never thought I'm gonna say this but both S5 and C43 AMG coupe look better.

Getting rid of the kink is blasphemy. They've gone too far. There needs to be an uprising among BMW fans to force BMW to bring back our beloved hoffmeister kink! If the Porsche guys could do it for manual transmissions we can raise our voice in support of the kink. It looks ghastly with the side profile of an Audi A5. Terrible!
