It turns out the wiring harness for the 48V battery was loose because a nut wasn’t tightened properly, so now they have to ship a part from Germany.
Isn't it funny that the wiring harness connects to the fuse box, which should all be checked during the PDI? My bet is the dealership is trying to pin the blame on BMW manufacturing. Anyway, they’re going to fix it and, for some reason, replace the driver’s side door lock because it “broke” out of nowhere. They’re blaming that on the tint installer, which is just ridiculous. What a mess this has been. |

I’m based in Toronto Canada and my m340i is currently dispatched from factory.
I don’t know how it works for Toronto - do we get on the same boat as you folks up to New Jersey and then truck across the border? Or is it railed from Mexico straight up here? Anyone know. Assuming it’s ship, I’m guessing it’s the Glovis Sun I’ll be on given that it just made port at Altamira. Anyone else expecting to be on this boat? |

Regardless, I would ask them to compensate you. Don't hold back and really push for it. It falls on dealership, not the manufacturing plant. Last edited by jstar23; 10-30-2024 at 10:10 AM.. Reason: typo |

They are definitely losing money now, I have a loaner with all fees (tolls, gas) waived and they will try to get me compensation relm BMW FS — that being said I am convinced the dealer failed to connect the battery to the drivetrain during PDI and is pawning the blame to BMW. Hopefully when I get the car back next week it’s trouble free. |

I’ve been stuck in “ready for transport” since 9/15 😫. Hopefully just not updated but BMW genius did not have an update for me. Waiting to get to the East Coast, CT. Anyone else on the east coast with the same issue?

Mine is being delivered to Princeton, NJ via the NYC port. I was stuck in Ready for transport for almost 4 weeks. Today, it finally went through to "in transit" and I was able to get the ship info to track from Genius. Hoping yours updated too.

Same here. My cars status was stuck at “ready for transport” and today it jumped to “in transit”. I spoke to genius earlier to find out expected ETA to NY. I was told it’s on Glovis voyage number 62 eta is Nov 10th. Any help on how to track the ship would be greatly appreciated

Mine has been in "production begins" for over a week now, but I'm in no rush for it to be completed, because I'll be out of town the week of Thanksgiving. |

JSTAR. How do you like it so far? How is the suspension? Does it ride comfortable for everyday driving? You did not get the adaptive suspension correct? I get mine in 2 weeks.

FWIW, once a vehicle enters production, it doesn't skip any production phases. However, it can complete several production steps rapidly/quickly and usually on the same date.

My car has been waiting for transport for over a month now. Dealer told me it will take another 6 weeks to get to Baltimore. I ordered on August 20 and added MPE before it went on build in September.

Just picked up my vehicle. He told me the stop sale was just a check on the ground bolt to make sure it was tight from factory. Apparently BMW needs a special tool to check the torque.
