Coding Sport+ On G20 w/ Bimmercode

I don't believe I am a beta tester. I have apple and not sure how to check update notes. But here's a screenshot of what I see in the App Store

Stephan isn’t the OP. Stephan is the guy who made bimmercode.

So I just checked the Apple store on my iPad and it looks like he hasn’t added BDC coding for non-tester full version. I checked the version history too and couldn’t see it.

The people who are using Apple and have coded BDC on their G20 are beta testers. To become a beta tester, mail Stephan from the bimmercode app support option and tell him you’d like to be a beta tester and that you’ve bought the full version. He will then add you to test flight which is the beta tester app for bimmercode on Apple. From there, you can code BDC.

Live cockpit displays sport plus. It’s the iDrive that doesn’t. And no luck yet. We’ll have to wait for g20beam to try and it and get back to us

Live cockpit displays sport plus. It’s the iDrive that doesn’t. And no luck yet. We’ll have to wait for g20beam to try and it and get back to us

I'm just nervous that if I code sport + and bimmercode comes out with the sport + code later, it might screw up some stuff in the coding of my car and it won't be able to override the prior code. Also, do I need to be a beta tester in order to code for sport+ in expert mode?

You can just revert to a backup and start fresh, and then recode as you like. That’s my impression at least.

You don’t need to be a beta tester to code in expert mode. But you need to be a beta tester to code stuff that is not yet available in public. I checked bimmercode version history on my iPad yesterday and there was no mention of them updating the app to be able to code BDC. But beta testers can code BDC.

That’s what I think too. Or you can go back and change the code to what it was before and then use the one touch step when bimmercode decides to add it. I’m assuming that should work too.

I always take screenshots of the changes I made and how it was when stock and keep it on my phone just in case.

Yes, am able to code. However cannot confirm if sportplus activated as my idrive screen didn't shows sport plus option when i toggle to sport. Guess i had the same issue as u?

Yes. But it does say sport plus on the live cockpit. And the car definitely feels different. Even my wife, who isn’t a car freak, noticed the difference in shifting and asked if I did something to make the car more powerful

Just did it to my car. It's awesome. Difference is not placebo, shifts smoother, burbles are prominent, gas mileage questionable haha. Curious about getting it in the iDrive, but not the end of the world.

Thanks but honestly shoutout to Stephan for putting it into Bimmercode as a feature!

Seen the growth of Bimmercode on G20 since I owned the car, glad that Sport+ can eventually be coded.

We have the beta software. If you’re on an android phone, you can buy it and then click the join beta tester option at the bottom of the play page. I don’t know if BDC is available in the regular app. If it is, then it should work.

I thought European cars already had sport plus?
