Interesting to see a LCI 2.0 on The 3, prolonging the lifecycle?
It really is a future classic and still one of the best looking cars in the line-up. I‘m not a fan of the Arctic Racing Blue. To me it looks like a boring shade. I wish they would have added a shade of Green. Then the it would be a real classic combo. Fire/Vegas red looks 🔥🔥🔥on M340 M Pro!!! It‘s a winner for 3 series. Dislikes: kidneys on 330i look flat compared to LCI 1.0, black piano plastic on steering, mirrors on 330i LCI 1.0 have a more aero-dynamic look, too. |

They removed the ambient lighting across the passenger side under the dash trim, similar to the 4 series LCI. Yes, they added the lighting in the HVAC, but why couldnt they keep the one under the dash trim? |

They dumped the 2025 330e for US... after improving the battery to give 53 miles of electric only range and boosting the charging speed. Those improvements would make the plug-in hybrid much more practical, but BMW NA will not import it. Duh.

Guess it's better than another shade of gray, no?

The M340i has not really had any colors I like except for the orange in the pre-LCI. I would LOVE a green, but they appear to only save that for full M's and such. Arctic blue looks classy and I think it can pull off a Tacora red interior combo and not look childish (like Portofino would as it's too Superman themed). Overall it's a balance between a gray and light blue, looks very mature to me. The Fire Red just looks like any other red to me. Also red limits your interior options as basically only boring black works well. Thundernight for the G42 is by far the best color available to the masses at this point (Isle of Man Green is great, but pricey at the M level). |

How about Storm Bay. It‘s a nice combo of grey / blue and delivers a lot of shades in between.

Also, both Cognac and Beige/Oyster color interiors work on red cars. My Z4 is red with the Ivory White interior, but a lot of people also pair it with Cognac and it looks good:

As PHEVs are getting better (and better understood) and compare favorably to EVs for most people, I don't get this decision; the current 330e has a very small range and slow charging, but the new model fixes that. I took a quick look this morning and the PHEV accounts to 15% of the 3 series for sale now in my province. One out of three 3 series I see on the road here seem to be the 330e. That's not an insignificant number and my guess is that those consumers won't go back to 100% gas after owning a PHEV... |

Yes.I already ran the VIN for a US MY25 M440i coupe and a Canadian one in the VIN decoder. The ViN specs showed that both cars have the OPF.Its listed in the VIN decoder as Code 1D1 Abgastechnik Sulev30 Pm.Thats the OPF.The MY25 M340i in the US and Canada is getting the same updated B58 engine that the MY25 M440i Coupe has so it will also have the OPF.Here are some screenshots from the VIN decoder showing the OPF for a US car.
