Try drivethedeal, I’ve spec’d the new A5 and S5 with £12k of discounts.

The M340i also showing discounts of £13k or more depending on your spec.
The M340i list with what I’d want is £76k, their offer is £63k. Still a bit pricey so be interesting to hear who gave you £57k against what list?

I gave the dealer some feedback as well!!

The (replacement LCI2) car is going back for a snag (which I only noticed 20 mins after driving away from the dealer) Honestly 😤🤬

Whilst it's there they are going to look into whether DAP can be retro fitted to my car (highly doubtful IMO) anyway.........

I had a long, honest, polite but firm chat with the dealer (head of sales) and explained about the configurator **** up.

I expressed that others have also had options missing despite being careful and that internet forums are full of complaints about mistakes. In no un-certain terms I said its a mess and very confusing and because of this my replacement is not the same.

PS - Don't get me wrong - I love the car but it's the principal behind it all and obviously we are talking proper money.

Whilst a retrofit is possible (huge amount or work) a main dealer wouldn’t agree to doing it. Shame it’s not just a purchase on the App Store like a few of the other BMWs seem to have.

That’ll be a whole new headlining for that mark. Once they mark they are difficult to repair so they’ll need to change it I think.

Then see what chaos they cause marking other trim swapping it over.

I was just thinking that. I bought a new Ford Ranger Wildtrak, they forgot to spec a DAB Radio module in it. The dealer retro fitted it, and marked the dash in the process. Waited over 6 months for a new dash, in the end they bought a demonstrator and swapped the dash over. Drove away from the dealer, first bump in the road and the cowl around the clocks fell off. They had snapped all the tabs holding it in.

Got rid of it 2 months later once the new cowl was fitted.

Finally got the M340i delivered back to me at 7am this morning 24/12 (5 hr round trip for the dealer). That was going above and beyond for customer service IMO.

They installed a brand new headliner and I can see no indication anywhere of damage during swap, I checked all the edges etc with a torch. Apparently the head of sales checked the car over as well before it was sent back to me.

PS Have been told by dealer techs that "DAP" cannot be retrofitted, I am waiting on the official response in writing but will be going to pick this up with BMW HQ in the new year.

What are you hoping that they will do about the lack of DAP?

Is this a case of another dealer cock up? Surely if the last car had it, and you asked for the same spec - this issue is theirs?
