Your car looks fantastic! I was hoping you could answer a few questions.
Are you on coilovers or lowering springs?
Are you using camber plates?
Any rubbing?
How is the ride with the 20s?

HR lowering springs
I have adaptive suspension
I bought f30 bump stocks from rock auto and cut them to remove about 3/4” from original bump stop height
No camber plates
No rubbing
It really doesnt feel much harsher than stock with 19” runflats. Not sure why people were complaining about bottoming out. These are continental DWS
I had falken fk510 265/30/20 on another set of wheels the the ride was really harsh even on stock suspension

Xmas in June!! Don't have these mounted on the car yet, but I wanted to comment on how significantly better they are in person than I expected! Pictures and videos online really just do not do these wheels justice in showing the quality and concavity, esp for the 9" width wheels categorized with having "medium concavity" by Expert@ApexRaceParts

Does anyone know if OEM 695M 20x8 square wheels would fit on the G20 platform?

I know they’re X3 rims but for some reason I think they’d look incredible on my incoming M340i.

The 19x9.5 et30 is on the aggressive side, as it it'll stick out by .63". But, since it's in the rear, there's plenty of room there compared to the fronts. So aside from a mildly aggressive poke, this is also safe.

Regarding 225 tire size for 8.5" width wheels, it'll work but expect some stretch on it. 235 would definitely look better.
how did you calculate the poke? i have some 18x9" ET25 on the way and would like to get the max (but safe) spacers i can go .

I used https://www.willtheyfit.com/, and also referenced Apex's fitment guide.

Yep, even the profile 2 wheels are in reality quite concave visually. The VS-5RS has a huge range of applications compared to the wheels we developed in the past like BMW ARC-8s.

From some technically convex fitments on the 86 chassis to profile 5 widebody mopar wheels like this, the VS-5RS has to work on all of them:

So even the medium concavity is really quite a deep wheel especially when it's shown flat on a table.

Enjoy the wheels!

None but the wheel barely clears the caliper by like 2mm. Look at the M logo. I plan to add a 3-5mm spacer jus for more peace of mind when my stud kit arrives.

Very nice. I strongly considered going with 18s too for added sidewall thickness. Were you on OEM 19s or 18s before?

Do you notice a difference in the ride quality at all from the thicker sidewall compared to 19s?

if I'm being honest the first impression was it's rougher. i only drove <5mi so far, though. i went from indy500 to ps4s.

but i didn't go 18 for comfort i just prefer the look, money savings, and track tire availabilities.

Love this setup. I'm glad we opted to make these 18s. They haven't been super popular compared to the 19s, but the additional sidewall, tire options and weight savings can't be argued with.

Thanks for picking up a set!
