Thanks for the pic. Those gloss black grills tone down the front better than the chrome ones. Goes great with the Arctic Race Blue!
Good to know the Oyster seats don't stain easily. My Z4 had beige leather seats and my blue jeans transferred some color to it so be mindful when wearing jeans on light colored seats. Cheers.

Hi all,
Thought to share some pics of my TB M440i Coupe having gone over 1200km yesterday. Went on a bit of a spirited drive in Sport/Sport+ modes with lots of paddle shifter interactions. This car as reviewed and posted by members on this forum is spot on in terms of how the driving dynamics, handling and the B58 drivetrain performs. There's nothing else that I can add to what most has already said either on the M340i or M440i platforms. All I can say is I'm totally blown away, having come over from the other German brands. The tech features on iDrive7 performs almost flawlessly, with what I've experienced during the breaking in phase. In terms of its DAP, Park Assist+, Extended Traffic Jam Assist. The Reversing Assist feature is really cool too as I use it now daily while backing out of my garage navigating itself around my wife's parked car on the driveway and then onto the road for 50 meters in total! Whats more, the fuel consumption is even more impressive. Yesterday's drive of 190km in Sport/Sport+ modes returned an average of 8.4 l/100km or 31.8mpg. Unreal.

I got Arctic Race Blue w/cognac interior. Cerium grille & mirror caps, and the red brake calipers. Aluminum mesh trim. Honestly wouldn't change a thing...just love the look! Only problem is that less than a block away from me I have seen another Arctic RB parked on the street on a few occasions now...have yet to run into the owner. Will be nice to have a chat.

Black Sapphire Metallic with Mocha interior (premium package with HK sound). 5% Ceramic Tint all around, may black out the decals and tail/headlights but TBD. Love the car so far and a girl pulled up next to me the other day in the same car but with the Tacora interior. Still love the Dravit Grey, but after getting the BSM with Shadowline it makes the grill look much better! She will be getting a nice wash and coating this weekend. Ended up going through a broker for my lease deal, never could have got the monthly I wanted without their help. All in is $754/mo ($62,540 MSRP after loyalty and rebates) with 12k annual miles.

With that dark of a ceramic tint, did you notice your dashboard lighting has become significantly dimmer? Seems to be an issue with some who have dark ceramic tints..... |

Not at all, brightness is the exact same as I typically set the brightness to the max level. Loving this thing so far and slowly starting to see a few around town

Hi folks,
Does anyone have any "real car" pics of the 2022 440 Gran Coupe with the 20" 862 style rims? Love to see them on Dravit, Black, or Brooklyn. I'm leaning toward Brooklyn Grey but I was going to put the black 20" 795M rims on it. On one of the threads a dude posted a 2021 M3 Brooklyn Grey with custom 20's in silver and it look pretty lit. Thanks, and I hope we can see some pics. I can't put my order in as of yet here in Ontario, Canada but should be able to in the next 3-4 weeks. |

Wow, this reminds me so much of the Porsche 911 Turbo S from the side view. Great color man, congrats!

Currently in a 2018 435D XDrive F32 which I love as a car.
Saw this G22 model when it was launched, and was jarred, like most, by the grille - change is hard to accept. Yet here I am speccing up my 2022 M440i replacement. I'm not sure I now love the grille - I don't love it. But it sure has heck makes the old BMW grille design look dated, old, stale - sedentary. And in the right colours, the G22 looks mean, aggressive, sporty. So I think BMW are onto something - if they'd made it look like an F32 or the rest, it would have been homogenous, bland. Now just can't decide between Artic Race Blue or Portimao Blue.... |

Thanks so much for the vid. It confirms my suspicions. Those 20" rims are too thick and busy. Will go after market when the time is right.

leotorr,
Nice car man! I like TB quite a bit. And I like the new grills more and more each day. I'm actually starting to think they might be just a touch too small - can you believe that?? On my road trip this weekend, I made note of just how many cars and trucks have large grills, and it was quite a few. |

Here's my black sapphire/black int/black wheels/blue brakes. Considering gloss black wrap on the stainless chrome grill, mirrors, etc. at some point but for now I like having some non-black accents. The chrome helps the big animal snout grill stand out IMO.
Ordered a tune module that I'll slap on after a couple thousand miles to really unleash the beast, but it seems pretty fast as is - right about where my M6 from a few years ago was at. The exhaust sound on the 440 is just whatever in comparison though, so I may swap the downpipe too. I always lease so I don't go too crazy with the mods. Interior is extra chill zone with the tint, black roofliner, black wood, black leather. Even in the daytime the ambient lighting is visible, so I feel like I'm in the club! Was on the fence about this one or just paying the extra cash for the 8 series, until I learned the newly arriving 8s dont have sunroofs! Last edited by adamg13; 01-22-2022 at 03:38 AM.. |
