Minneapolis for me. Car parts are arriving this week, which means the car should be here soon, right?

My spec:

I tried to add the Parking Assistance Pkg at the last minute but it was too late!

I never gave the 2025 serious thought mostly because we have a new baby and we really need a second car ASAP. The revised 48V hybrid system with more power/torque would be really nice, but I'm not a fan of the interior updates (steering wheel, even fewer buttons). I do like the "jewel" shifter and iDrive knob so I hope those can be retrofitted.

Hey everyone, first time posting on here! Happy to also be sharing the RCC Amsterdam with you all. Have been a benz guy for as long as I can remember but I think its about time i've switched over to BMW, the M340 is just an amazing car. It's been a long wait but couldn't be happier to finally be in the final steps. I've been trying to do my research as to what the whole process looks like from factory to dealer and was able to find most of my answers here on this wonderful forum. One question that I do have thats yet to be answered is which port my vehicle is going to get dropped off at. When I spoke to my sales rep, he told me that the ship would leave Veracruz, make a stop in Brunswick, Baltimore, Philly, and then NJ (where my dealer is located) and that it would then go through the VPC there and make its way to the dealer. However when I spoke to BMW Genius they told me that Baltimore was my vehicles final stop and that that's where it'g going to go through the VPC and get on a truck from. But im pretty sure that BMW Genius is right and that my sales rep just doesn't have all the info. I thought that it would make more sense for the ship to drop my car off at the jersey port since the port is only 30 mins away from my dealer, but im assuming that there probably just aren't enough vehicles destined on the ship destined for jersey. Praying that all of our cars get through VPC smoothly and are at our dealers shortly! (I cant stop checking marinetraffic). Anyways, im done ranting, heres my build!

I only did the parking package for the 360 birdseye camera. TBD on whether it’s a novelty or actually useful. I can’t imagine ever using the self park stuff.

huh weird but good i guess...but the stop sale magically just got removed like it never existed. Vehicle still at the port and it still won't show me pic's on the mybmw app like it normally does.

Mine too! I had the app open to get the VIN for my insurance agent and it updated.

I asked the dealer to not wash the car because I’m taking it straight to my detailer for paint correction, then PPF and tint.

How long were your cars in RFT? Mine has been in that status for over two weeks. I called genius and was told it's sitting at the port in Mexico but not sure for how much longer.

Mine was in the RFT stage for about 3 weeks but I can’t be sure how accurately the app reflects the actual status. I suppose it’s possible that my car sat for 3 weeks waiting for a ship…

Mine has been in RFT since July 5th, so a similar timeframe as yours. I see the RCC Amsterdam which recently transported BMWs for other users in this thread has just arrived back at the Mexican port. I'm hoping my car catches this ride, assuming it's going back to Baltimore again, which is where my car is heading.

Well it’s been a minute since I haunted this forum. Since 2018 when I ordered my existing 2019 M240 Xdrive.
I’ve been keeping up though on the changes. Bummer that BMW still has their collective head up their ass. But such is life. No gear shift and no hard buttons is ridiculous. No delete for the sunroof is also ridiculous but I need another Bimmer!! And the M340 Xdrive will still make the cut!
Got everything except for the driving assistant stuff. Did get the parking assistant though for the 3d camera view.
Also, of course, got the staggered SUMMER tires with the cooling and high performance tire package. Will get a set of winter tires when I get the car. Found out the hard way when they say summer they really mean summer! When I had my first white knuckle drive to work went straight from work to the tire place and got a set then.

So I just called BMW Genius for the status of my 2024 m340i which finished assembly on July 23rd on the week of 30. She told me it’s going to be another 4-6 weeks until the ship arrived at Mexico and another 2 weeks to the dealership. Not sure if that’s the case for anyone whos week 30. Do they not ship anything during the month of August? Are they waiting for the 2025 patch?

Unfortunately I don't have any info, but I do know there are a lot of car carrier ships heading into Mexican ports this week and into next week. Hopefully we get onto those! (But my hopes and theories are continually proven wrong )

Week 29 here. Car RFT almost 2 weeks. I’m destined for Port Hueneme in California.

Car carrier named Aquarius Leader just docked 2 days ago at Mexican port Lazaro Cardenas. Hoping that’ll pick up my car and be on its way here soon.

Disregard. The genius hotline has a data lag behind real life. Despite yesterday my car not even having “been scanned in” to port, it’s actually on the Aquarius Leader which departed 2 days ago, and is on its way to VPC. Great news!
