Why does lower lumen number on the lights have anything to do with getting the headlight sprayed/washed?

LED headlights are not required to have washers as the total light output of LEDs fall below 2000 lumens. Since all new car now all LEDs, they fall under the requirement threshold for not requiring headlight washers, so companies no longer add them, not just BMW. Pick a random car on the road, dealer's choice, US or ECU - spec, with LED equipped headlights; you'll notice none have headlight washers. That's not just a coincidence. |

Under trunk floor storage...
My wife keeps lamenting the loss of the under trunk floor storage (occupied by the battery in G20) space as well as the aforementioned cargo net. I personally miss the rear view mirror compass and a ”true” hand brake. I also wish the “stop start” function was only automatically on in eco pro and not comfort mode. This G20 (‘20 330i M Sport) is for my wife and admittedly I’m more of an “analog” BMW guy as I drive an E46 M3. That being said, I tend to have a bias against some of the over complication of things in the name of new technology. Nevertheless, the G20 feels substantially stiffer structurally than our ‘17 330i.

Ah. Maybe UK spec cars are different.
Mine has a sunroof so maybe it is an additional feature for sunroof cars - no point in having a/c on if sunroof open. Have a play round with the switch - it could be that the function is not as I initially described!but it is definitely there on mine and it is definitely incorporated in the fan sped switch.... ..I'll have a look if I ever go out in my car again!! |

This x 100000. Just don't understand why they thought digging through touchscreen menus to access a function as frequently used as the A/C was a good idea. I know I can use the Max A/C button to turn it on, but I find myself having to turn the AC off far more often than on (automatically activates any time I toggle the vents from fresh to circulate, which I have to do often during my commute). And, using the fan off button shuts off the A/C, but then also shuts off the fans which I'd like to keep running. First world problems though.....

For me the disappointing omissions are
- Only one grocery bag hook in the boot (trunk), the F30 had two. - Lack of auto dimming side mirror on passenger side, F30 had both - Luggage net which has clipping points like the F30 |

In all honesty, the G20 feels like a cheaper made car than the F30 all around |

Yes, I sit in my G20 M340i all the time... And I used to sit in my F30 340i before I sold it
To clarify, it doesn't feel cheaper to touch, it looks cheaper. Even the panels look like they took less effort to design and build. Take a look at the side vents on the dashboard and you will see see the mechanics of the louvres in the G20. These are all hidden on the F30. I even have the full merino leather dash and doors... yet they've not even made an effort to make the stitching or trim that intricate compared to the F30. Hell even the carpet has less pile than the F30. Not really dealbreakers but there's certainly been an effort to reduce material and design costs. |
