My dme was shipped and it appears to have been delivered to Santa's helpers in Finland. DHL delivery was quicker than I would have thought. I will let those fine folks work their magic. Big thanks and shout out to them.

How you will solve the problem,that the tuner can only flash one time and after that its locked again.
I know that, if they only flash calibration data they can do it several times.But with every tool,or only femto flasher?
And how to know if the tuner realy know to think about all that.

Just a question to chenry - I put the dme plugs back in as I marked them but I also removed several of the smaller plugs that were blocking the dme plug harness. I put every thing but I noticed that on the driver's side next to the dme plugs, the forth slot is open and I was going crazy looking for that plug. Did not find it, but I noticed that in your video that you had the same situation and that spot was open also. Is this correct?

I'm not specifically clear on what you are referring to (and don't want to lead you astray with bad info). BUT what I can tell you is that in my pics the only thing we did was remove the DME plugs SO if there is an open slot in my pics - that is simply the way it is from the factory (at least on my car). It sounds like you are a-okay

Thanks for the help, Chenry. I looked up several vids and they also are missing that slot without a connector plugged in. I have started it and it seems to run fine but could not continue, first, I loaned out my Ethernet/OBD cable months ago and it was not returned yet by one of my Bimmer friends. And, even if I did have one to use, I have been very late due to EOY business projects that have to be done. I will try again tomorrow.

Correct.
FEMto is the only reliable solution for ECUs after 06/2020.

There´s another tuner in Germany (Aulitzky) that can unlock theses ECUs but he needs to open the ECU and may brick it...
Then you need to buy a new ECU.

SUCCESS!!!! After over a week of struggling to get the BM3 tune package downloaded and installed in my ride - it was worth the wait and the aggravation. It finally came down to my wifi setup at home dropping out in the middle of trying to get this done. Took everything to work (much faster wifi) and finally got it done there.

Special thanks and a debt of gratitude to FEMTO for the "special" Christmas gift and the guys @ ProTuningFreaks for their patience in helping me with the connection issues.

It was late when I got everything done last night but did install the Stage 2 tune with "burble" and I immediately got the same feeling of an incredible tune as when I had the same tune in my F90 M5. Nuts! Crazy difference from stock. In my M5, rolling into the go pedal produce a wave of instant power which would light up my stability light every time it shifted as well as throughout 2nd and 3rd gears. The overall tune is so docile at idle but becomes very aggressive off-idle. I will be trying out the powerband difference with this tune and the E30 Stage 2 tune soon.

Stage 2 93 feels like OEM power still even with DP. Not a bad thing honestly. Do you plan on adding XHP to get more torque?

Yes I do. I am also planning on a few other mods such as the cooler and maybe an Airlift bag setup.

I previously owned and modded an E60, F10 and F90 M5's and I can tell you the BM3 package on any BMW product is safe, reliable and will produce smiles on your face that you cannot duplicate any other way for the price. The F10 M5 that I previously owned had a heavily modded drivetrain including an SSR trans package rated for 900 rwhp. No way to put the power down with drag radial or slicks. But, great fun when you turned off the stability control and wanted to taunt your competition. AWD in BMW cars changed everything.

Well so after reading this all, FEMTO is still the only ones that can unlock. How much does this service cost? And in the event that the ECU is locked again, how much does a re-unlock cost?

Have you gotten any dragy or 1/4 mile data since this post to quantify the gains? It seems a lot of people are having issues with a torque limit on the mild hybrid cars. I’m also curious if you lost any functionality with the tune (mild hybrid function, remote start etc.) It would be great to hear a success story with the mild hybrid flash tune

So, my DME is flying out today for the unlock. I’m going with BM3 and in regards to torque limits, my tuner told me they’ll have them removed. My car doesnt have the remote start, but now I hear they can save that. Not sure of the mild hybrid function.

You will be extremely satisfied and happy with your decision to send out you DME to FemtoEvo. Had I known how fast that it gets done, I would have sent them DME as soon as I bought my car. Congrats on the decision.
