I think I overpaid to be honest, but I needed a fast delivery.

Just some advice, bimmereuro, bimmer plug , all use alibaba or AliExpress and drop ship these exhaust tips. And sometimes they have there name branded on the product.
I think a set of these tips comes from china in a square box with orange tape all over the box and priced at $135.00 sometimes even cheaper.

So if you ever want to order from them again google the product first or check to see if alibaba has it or AliExpress

eforty6_m3 I like the gloss black look but I am not sure if these tips flow with the car. I know the ///M carbon tips are played out and everyone has them, but I think those look the best in my opinion. But overall, I think your car is coming together nicely!

Looks good , thankfully you didn’t try pulling them out. You have to slightly remove the rear bumper to remove the reflector. Or at least the rear tail light then try to remove the corner or the bumper here’s an actual video of the process in case you ever want to redo them.

I agree the one with the ///M looks the best. I ordered a set of the ///M one all black ( glossy black) didn’t do the carbon one because I’ve seen what they look like in a year or two if not taken care off. I advise people to give it a cheap coat of auto zone ceramic wax like the Maguires and when you wash the car spray on ceramic to keep the carbon from damaging.

Fair enough. I am not a fan of the carbon tips, especially with the ///M logo and all.

I think they look great and go with the shadowline and gloss black grille perfectly. Very happy with the purchase!

The carbon tips start to look like crap after a year of usage of you don’t take care of it. It’s why I chose the same style as the carbon ones but in all black to go with my shadow line package.

If I find the picture again of the carbon tips and what they look like after a year I will post it so that people can see what it’s going to look like so they know.

The black chrome you chose are nice and I like how they look on the blue. I have the same blue. So gives me a good idea of what black is going to look like on mine.

Absolutely I agree that’s what makes us all unique is that we all have different taste and we all visualize things differently. How Boring would it be if we all had the same taste. Whether I like someone’s build or not I don’t go around taunting it I appreciate it for what it is. And as long as the owners happy with what they have created is all that matters.


So the bootleg M performance carbon tips every one buys is actually real carbon fiber,. But the clear coat/ gel is not as strong as it should be and not only are the bootleg M performance tips affected but also real M tips from the M3 , now all this can be avoided by either taking care of the carbon with wax or uv protectant or get them recleared by a body shop , the heat really doesn’t affect carbon because one it’s elevated from the metal , it’s more so the environmental elements that causes the damage. While I couldn’t find the ones I originally mentioned , I did save a few pictures of damaged tips after a year of abuse and no finesse what so ever.

Also if you decide to get the bootleg M performance carbon tips don’t over pay,@ bimmer plug and bimmer euro which is over $300, because they drop ship them from Alibaba and or AliExpress for $100.00-$120.00 they are identical.

Finally received my Tuner Motorsports glossy light weight rear Diffuser. This Diffuser tip exit extends a little further out , this will prevent me from cutting my MPE exhaust as it extends. .5-1” , most tips in the market requires trimming of the MPE but not the OEM exhaust. If any cutting is required it would be minimal.

Only $205 on sale from $470.99 for the glossy black.
They also have carbon fiber.

Got a few things for my 2021 M340i

BMS billet intake with silicone inlet( open intake, I didn’t want to spend too much money on a inclosed intake and hinder the sound, which is why we all buy intakes since they don’t increase performance.

BMS Oil Catch can ( this isn’t needed for a stock b58 as it has a built in one from factory. However when your running higher boost levels it does come in handy. ( this will not be installed until I get my hybrid big turbo from pure.

To compensate for the heat that may affect the open Billet intake from the AA catted down pipe which is paired to my M performance exhaust , I purchased a Heat Shield from Bimmer network.

I had originally purchased a open intake from CTS which I immediately returned because the intake isn’t held by any brackets and moves freely up and down putting stress on the turbo inlet. So I had a store credit and purchased the follow Billet strut braced, billet jack pads and billet wheel hanger.

I had a similar intake on my 2018 F30 340i. The intake noises were awesome! I have been thinking about doing something similar to be honest. Are you going to replace the turbo inlet piping to the silicone coupler?

Finally received my wireless charger that was recommended here in another thread. It works really well and does not interfere with the cup holders. It is kindof a tight fit to get my iPhone 14 Pro Max in there though.

Yes I did both the billet intake and the silicone coupler for the turbo inlet .

The MPE I’ve had on the car for 8 months now and the longer it’s been installed the louder it has gotten with out the DP .,

Figured I share it because I recently installed the AA catted down pipe and it opened up the MPE big time. I have a 2021 M340i xDrive Prior to the downpipe the MPE pops and crackles like the 2020 , especially now with the dp and the intake has also increased the volume in the exhaust as you can hear the turbo spool. And having a open intake increases the volume.

So my local BMW dealer in West Chester Pa installs all parts, this way anything messes up they have to replace it. But I made a deal with them, if they can help me with discounted parts, I will allow them to install the parts this way we both win.


As far as the price on the MPE I went online and ( at the time it was closer to $3000 , they not only priced matched they gave me a huge discount) also you save on shipping since it’s being ordered by the dealership. I believe if I’m not mistaken, But when you order the exhaust online I believe that the shipping is over $300 the box is huge.

So that is the reason why I returned the CTS intake because it was not bolted down to the chassis and I knew that when the engine shifts it was gonna pull that bracket or that clamp right off the turbo inlet. So the billet intake that I got from Motorsports actually ties down to the chassis which will keep the silicone from flexing keeping the clamp in place. If the client gives me issue more than likely I’ll take it to BMW so that they can put a factory clamp on the silicone coupler. However I spoke to Dave at Motorsports and he told me that no one has had any issues with the clamp coming off so fingers crossed. Also I noticed That the actual that on the turbo flexes back-and-forth when the engine shifts and should help the clamp stay down.


The dealership is BMW of west Chester Pennsylvania , they price match, but they go a little lower then the competition.

I usually go on line to like a discounted bmw parts website and get the cheapest price , print it and show bmw parts department in person.

As far as the exhaust for now it’s oem tips but I purchased a glossy black diffuser to go with the shadowline package and my black emblems. I’m just waiting on tips
