A few questions for those of you who have already ordered :

When you start the order process, are you contacted by the seller to ask what tips you want , and what type of valve system you want ? Or do you just get exactly what is in the pictures ?

I see some of you are choosing the vacuum valve system over the mechanical valve system. Is there a benefit to one or the other ?

Does the seller ask for VIN or other vehicle specifics to make sure of exactly what version of the exhaust to send to you ?

And just to clarify - the valve controller system, including remote, is included with the exhaust, and already included in the price ?

I don’t have any drone at all with the valves closed and very little with them open. The remote has two buttons, one to open, and one to close.

Send an inquiry to the seller on Ali baba and from there you will discuss what tips and what valves you want. As far as choosing which valves, I just went with the vacuum because I have a friend who has a 440i with the MAD exhaust, which is basically this one, and he has the vacuum valves and his car is really quiet with them closed so I copied. I don’t recall the seller asking for a vin, but the exhaust will fit I assure you. Finally, yes the valve controller and remote are all included.

Once I order the exhaust through the seller on Alibaba, do I have to pay taxes when it gets to US Customs? How much is that cost and how do you pay (online, or over the phone, etc)? What is the process because I am a little confused. I am located in California. TIA

Everything I've ordered directly from China, the total price you pay at the time of purchase, is the complete price you pay.

I have no idea how things work in Europe, but for the US, I've never had to pay anything additional to have my package released to me. It just ships directly to me.

Wondering how this exhaust is holding up for the op. Any issues? Looking to buy since prices have come down a little. Looking at the muffler it is a lot smaller than stock. The videos don't really due justice. Wonder how much louder than stock it is with the valves closed.

No issues so far, besides this noise from a loose clamp that’s driving me crazy, but otherwise zero complaints. It’s about the same noise volume as stock with the valves closed, even when you rev it.

Are you on a stock DP? If so, how loud is it? And any crackles?

Seeing as you are in California, do you know if this exhaust would cause issues with an inspection?

Not stock dp, catless. If you’re stock dp your car definitely will not burble or anything even with the exhaust. Even with a catlass it won’t, mh cars don’t make noise. Idk what type of inspection your talking about, but if your asking in terms of police, you will definitely get state reffed.

Oh I gotcha, no I need to switch my out of state plates to California plates and need to get an inspection before the DMV visit. Didn't know if the inspection was a yearly thing. Still new to the state and figuring things out! So just wondering what parts can pass inspection or not.

Ah I see. To my knowledge anything aftermarket is illegal in good old Cali. As far as smog goes I’m pretty sure new cars don’t need it for like 8 years or something like that.

Over the weekend just gone I installed the Alibaba exhaust from Jiangxi Boska Trading Co along with the AA catted downpipe from mike@x-ph.com.

I have to say the downpipe is a piece of art, beautifully made and the sound is great. No CEL as promised!! Thanks Mike.

The exhaust arrived a couple of weeks after I ordered it. It was extremely well packaged up with every piece wrapped in bubble wrap. It was very easy dealing with Alan with regular communication.

The pic below is the one Alan sent me for approval.

I got 100mm tips put on mine so it looks very aggressive. I haven't got pics on the car as yet but it is tasty!

It went together really well and looks to be extremely well made. I did it all by myself so it took me the best part of a day. I turned 60 on Friday and I have now realised I am too old to be doing that type of shit anymore as I am still recovering.

Now the sound.

Oh my Lordy, with the valves open it is almost too loud but I will put up with it

Cold start with the valves open certainly wakes the neighbours up.

With the valves closed it is just like standard.

Did I mention the exhaust was $1000 US TO my door!!!

Just in case anyone else wants to know, I ran the wiring for the valves up through the boot and fuse jumped, piece of cake.

Highly recommend and for the price IMO there is no better option. Maybe even with the price taken out of the equation there is still no better option!!

Happy to answer any questions if I can.

If you ever have an opportunity to take a video of a cold start that would be awesome. I've been thinking about adding on the same DP to this exhaust, but been holding off in case its TOO loud.

Glad to hear you installed it yourself. Mine is on order. Not sure how you got that price. I paid about $1100 shipped. Can’t wait for it to get here but I’m sure I am 4 weeks out.

***Edit*** Looks like mine is not coming until Mid November. Not sure why so long.
