I dig the colour shift of this red (Unpopular, I know). If there's anything in particular you want me to take a photo of, let me know, before I take it to PPF tomorrow for a few days. EDIT: Added interior photos. (some of which forum decides to rotate, apologies for that) Last edited by burned41; 09-03-2024 at 02:58 AM.. |

Any driving impressions? Not sure if you ever drove an earlier m340 (not 25), but can you feel the changes to the suspension? Just very interested to hear your initial thoughts.

Did you have the sensatec dashboard package on the windshield trim? Not seeing any cross stitching there. I like the new interior, I don’t think they could’ve kept the passenger side lighting and still make it look good. New look is simpler, it works.

I like the new interior too. I think it's a nice update to the previous one. I don't have the Sensatec dash. I was on the fence of getting it, but at the end of the day realised that stitching wasn't worth the €560.
I'm new to BMW altogether, so can't say how it compares to last year's M340, or any BMW for that matter. As suspension goes, I did expect a harsher ride, given the RFT tyres, but in reality in Comfort mode was actually very nice and smooth. Edit: Just read a post in a German forum from someone who had an LCI1 G21 M340 and switched to LCI2 G21 M340 AND transferred the wheels over. He claims the ride is more pleasant than his LCI1 M340. I'm not sure about the M340, but the early 2025 M440's had no engine badge like your picture, later 2025 builds ALL have has the badge pictured below. The M badge on the 3 looks like the 2024 M badge on the 4 FWIW Last edited by MM70; 09-20-2024 at 06:14 AM.. Reason: updated info 9-19 |

Just had a update from bmw genius to say my 2025 M340i is at code 195 at sea to the port of Southampton expected delivery 14th October, I know it came from
Mexico and i obviously know it’s going to the uk to the port of Southampton but how do I find out what boat it is on 🤷‍♂️genius said they do not know, which did suprise me tbh, how did you guys find out what boat it is on ? Please share if you can 👌 I found this so I can track the ship https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais...ry:50.9/zoom:9 But I need to know the ship otherwise it’s pretty pointless lol The genius did say to ask the dealer but then only seem to have the same info of the genius ? |

Back in the day, long before BMW's online tracking system, BMW Genius, and various real time vessel tracking services, you could call the carrier and provide your VIN number to determine the ship name. For many years, Wallenius Wilhelmsen was the primary carrier from Germany to the U.S.. If you can determine the carrier(s) BMW is using from Mexico to Germany, you can likely back into the name of the ship.

Like a couple of you - my status changed today. It was previously sitting on "ready for transport". It now has the check mark for "in transit". Sorry for being such a noob - how are you guys getting details from bmw genius - just emailing them?
I emailed them and they responded last thursday "Our records indicate that your 2025 BMW M340xi has completed production and is currently in transit to the port of departure. Unfortunately, because your vehicle has not yet arrived at the port, there are no further updates available." edit: same status as you guys (assuming my car is on the Glovis as well). In transit means its on the boat in transit to the US PORT. The status stages are very confusing or out of order to me. Port to me means it arrived at the US port, and in transit should be on the truck... but my opinion is wrong lol. Last edited by yukoncornelius; 09-04-2024 at 09:53 PM.. |
