Hey guys...Scott26 just confirmed what my friend in Munich told me. It's secure that M3/4 and 4 series will have a big kidney, the only thing to think about is (looking at what the i series will look like) if it'll be aesthetically pleasing or not. In case of a total failure, of a loss of customers etc, we have to wait other two years right now...and wait for the LCI, as in case of a total sales disaster and critics, they'll remove it going back to a normal pimped up G20.
We have to wait and see, in Frankfurt it won't be presented even under a concept form. What we'll see in two weeks is the normal 4 series concept, but we'll have a clear indication of what this kidney will be. Let's hope and wait friends...nothing more. |

Crazy that it's only a couple weeks away now. I really hope BMW goes all in with the design language and don't just design a normal 4 series and slap giant grilles on it. I think the F30/F32 were boring and already look dated, so I'll take unique-ugly over boring-ugly or plain boring any day.

Are you saying that the solid bumper holding the plate that cuts through the middle of the top and bottom kidneys is most likely not really there? The photos seem to have a clear solid bumper bifurcating the top and bottom grilles. When I saw these photos, I was relieved that we wouldn't have that shitshow rendering shown previously.

Bottom half of the front bumper appears to be non-production materials. Almost like 3D printer plastic.
Most likely a decoy. |

I love that prototype. If the final reveal is anything like this, that'd be great.

I will reserve judgment until I see the finished product in full and see how all the elements come together.
I don't think BMW has produced an ugly M yet, so I am happy to give them the benefit of the doubt for now. |

So many minds blown right now lol!!! certainly not the big grilles many people were doubling down on but it's still a spy shot in camo .... really hoping this is closer to the final design though. Fingers crossed...

I'd be more than good with those grills, especially with the honey combish design, but we wont be that lucky.

If one does not like the grilles, a dark color will hide them.
As long as it has three pedals, I am good, TBH. A black G80 Pure, 6MT, w/ polarizing grilles = |
