I ordered mine April 1st, got a production date of May 22nd, was sent to port on May 24th, arrived at port May 29th and no further updates. I emailed BMW to see if they could estimate when it would be put on a ship. I got this reply

"Our records indicate that your vehicle is currently at the port of departure as of 5/30/2023, but has not yet been assigned to a vessel for transport to the USA. Please know, this process can take some time, as vehicles are assigned to vessels in batches, and not as a single unit.

I recommend reaching back out to us on or after 6/20/2023, and we'd be happy to check back for any new information that may be available at that time."

Going with June 20th (just because) as the date it leaves I might get it mid to late July.

TLDR: Ordered April 1st, eta on delivery 3.5 months.

They do not have an allocation but it is estimated to have one in April since they are a high volume dealer.
I am 3rd in their "order bank".

Hi All,

New member, first time going into the BMW world and thought i would jump on a forum because my excitement cannot be contained! (Plus the wife has had enough of me)

Ordered a M440i GC 2024 from Leeds, UK, spec below:

- Comfort Pro Plus Pack
- Tech Pack
- Piano Black
- 20" Alloys

Ordered on 25/05/23 - states production is scheduled for 25/06/23.

One question i had - Anyone know what ride quality with the 20" alloys would be vs 19"? I expect there to be a difference, but wondering if it is drastic.

Thanks

My M440i was Week 21 which was 5/21-27, and entered production 5/22. Made it to Bremerhaven Port on 6/5.

Mine was also scheduled for week 21 but the status has been stuck at "Scheduled for Production" ever since I ordered on May 3. I thought it might be the laser headlights or adaptive suspension causing my delay but you got those, so maybe it's the Driving Assistance package. Congrats on yours getting through quickly.

So far, my elapsed time has been pretty good. Interesting that you placed your order a week before me, and you're still scheduled. We'll see how long mine sits at the port.

Also an FYI, I found a picture of a 2024 G26 for sale at a dealer and they took photos of the seat sides, and it looks like the passenger power adjustable lumbar has returned. The buttons on both the driver and passenger seats are the same. That would be great if it is consistent.

Been advised by bmw genius online that my car has been through customs and awaiting delivery to the dealership.

Contacted the dealership and they have said it has been updated at their end to be there on 12 June on the ‘other system’.

BMW genius online say it is estimated to be delivered tomorrow.

It’s clear the dealership don’t have the most up to date info as each step has been me telling them following talking to BMW genius online.

Not massively impressed as am expecting the updated finance/part ex to be sent in good time before taking delivery.

Additional Ship Port Information

Maybe our cars that have been patiently waiting at the port will be able to get on one of them if not the 4/25 one.
In addition to ship origin and final destination ports, you can also search for ships where Bremerhaven and the port of your choice are ports-of-call within a ship's schedule. Here is an example where I wanted to see ships that will stop at Bremerhaven and New York USA.

You can also search if your VIN is on this ship within the next few days. The BOL number can be put into the shipping company website https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/track-trace

Takes a few days before the manifest of the ship becomes available. If you were on the previous ship, you can try BOL number: AEA31701.

I’m in the same boat as you. Original build week was ~May 21 and last time I called they now said week of June 18th-24th. It’s probably the damn Driving Assistance package. If I remove it now will my car be built tomorrow? Lol

What’s makes this worse is I signed my agreement back on March 4th! There was already an order in the queue at the time that got the March allocation so that delayed mine a month and now here we are in June. This is really making me rethink custom car orders.

My CA told me it should start "any day now" a couple times but I am probably on the same schedule as you. I emailed a Genius the other day but haven't heard back and I'm not holding my breath. I'm trying to be patient since I know I will have a "I'm so glad I got the Driving Assistance package" moment but it's tough. It must be even harder for you, ordering 2 months before I did (May 3).

Yes, I would stay strong. I’m not sure about your situation, but my commute has some major construction going on that will be in process for at least another 4 years. I know waiting for the drive assist will definitely be worth it. It’s just frustrating right now.

Make sure to use a browser (mobile version is ok too), though, if you only have the production number. The MyBMW app requires you to enter the VIN and can't take the prod #. And even after adding it to your garage with the prod # on the website, you can't use the app to check the status. Still need to use the website.

Like others have said, you need to visit MyBMW on your PC or mobile device and get the production number from your dealer. You can track it there.

calbearz24 you making me wonder if my car is gonna be delayed as I also got the same package 🤔

Finally pictures.....

Been busy lately and have not been able to post these pictures. I picked up my 2024 M440i on 5/22. It is Tanzanite Blue Metallic with Cognac interior.

I have over 1200 miles on it already after a Memorial weekend road trip through the Michigan UP.

I have also replaced the standard exhaust tips with a set of quad tips. Very easy to install as I think it took less than 20 minutes to remove the existing ones and attach the new ones. These are the ones with the clamp type attachment and just require sliding them over the exhaust pipe and tightening the 2 clamps.

Just picked it up today after PPF and ceramic coating at Protect MI Ride of Traverse City.

Congrats! The quad tips look unreal - which ones did you get?

Ahhh ok, so like mine I said status code 112. I'm getting that using something known as the F12 trick in these forums using the browser on my PC.

These two post show how to do that.

This is the one I bought. This is an US company that resells the tips. You can get them for less if you don’t mind ordering from a Chinese company.
