Software updates discussions

Hi,

I have '20 M340; currently, the car has software version 07/2021.40, since then no updates-- not 11/2021 or 03/2022 Over The Air.

I took it into dealer along with SIL that says if car is not receiving OTA, put in most current software. Am being told nothing more current for my car.

My question is for those who have 2020 M340, what is software version you have in your car currently ?

I have a '20 330i with 03.2022. Sounds like the dealer doesn't want to take the time to update your software

I had to submit a ticket with BMW conencted drive. It took them about a month to fix my android auto + the other connected-drive apps. As soon as I got the "ticket closed" email from them today everything immediately started working, so something was def. jacked up on their backend.

What is latest S/W version for a 2019 330i. US model?
I think I am currently running 7/2021.
Noted newer versions being talked about here

I was on 07/21, recently got upgraded to the latest version at the dealer. Literally noticed no difference what so ever 😐

My M340i has 07/2022.57. The dot numbers are individual markets I think so probably no substantial difference to .33

Was this delivered over the air or flashed by a dealer? It's November and I would expect the July update to roll out via OTA now...

My 07/2022.41 was updated at the dealer while in for service for other issues.

Latest version is 22-11-531 , or 11/2022.31 depending how you look at it

Heading into the dealer to get my pads changed soon. Is there a SIB that can be used to have them also update to the latest software (11/2022)? Currently on 07/2022.57. Thanks!!

Attached is the SIL that I referenced in my earlier post.

For general knowledge:

BMW puts out 3 software updates/year: March, July & November
OTA is always one version behind, ie, now in November, July version will be put out OTA
The numbering scheme is: MM/YYYY.XX where MM is month, YYYY is year and XX is minor version number

I'm still on 07/2021 and never received an update ever since. I'm thinking if it's an app related issue or just take it to the dealer for the update. What do you guys think?

If you feel brave, can always manually update the software via esys

My car received 07/2022.558 OTA today. Seems stable so far, with minor tweaks and changes. First OTA update since 2020. Hopefully BMW can bring some more reliability to its software update processes.

Just did that and updated everything except the DME.
Now running 11/2022-531
Had 03/2022-552 from the factory.

My car received the sprint mode that wasn´t available before but was activated with the update.
Currently only one flaw, sometimes the headunit forgets what media source was active and starts without a media source.
