Yeah. I am very close to get an allocation of MY23 G80 in a dealer. However, if the LCI update like F8X, I will hold my order and get a LCI one. The MY23 G80 will be "old" once BMW update the front end in MY24. That sounds not good for me. Or LCI will happen in 03/24, which should be MY25?

M platforms follow updates from their respective base platforms and dont have an official LCI. With several updates planned for regular 3 & 4 series in the coming years, there isnt a clear picture on how those would translate to G8x platforms.

There will be an official LCI this time for G80, G82, G83.

Whoa, do you have a date for that, I think people would be interested to know?

And do you know whether that includes major exterior changes, and what about the G81?

Given how long this car will be in production for, will there be an LCI CSL/CS version as well?

If the official LCI is true, I'd say yes. An official LCI is an acknowledgement that the front is a failure.

No. Both are limited production. Some other special edition version of the LCI cars is still possible given the timeframe (5 more years! Madness!) but too early to know.

Do you guys know if driver assistance pro/ACC will become an option again for 3ers or 4ers in next year?

5DF is available in other markets, which means it's the decision of BMW NA not to offer it here, and not BMW engineers in Munich. As such, it's not related to this thread.

That's not true at all, the LCI doesn't necessarily need to change much on the front end

I was mistaken. The XM will indeed have a pre-order. Will have more info after next week.

Availability from March 2023, as a 24MY?

There was a recent leak via BMW NL showing the manual as an option on the M40i. Hopefully they're getting close to an official announcement. Paris Motor Show, maybe?

Thanks ynguldyn for the info.

It'd make perfect sense for the extraordinarily long lifespan of the G20/G80 platform.

The technology upgrade the G80 should carry over from the series car LCI, so it needs to be something dedicated to the M.

Can we expect an TU to the S58 engine?

My guess is, no. S58T is as high as it'll get - UNTIL - M2?/M3CS come out

The S58 Ultimate is in the league of CS/CSL

Not expecting more hp from the TU, but emission related upgrade is possible, if the S58 is to hold on until 2027.

Even to add a mild hybrid (48v) is not a wild idea given what they're doing to the V8 right now and what was done to the B58 upon which the S58 is based.
