Mine has been sitting at Port Hueneme since Aug 27. Contacted my CA to check status and he informed me it's on hold, waiting on government approval as it's part of the first batch of 2025 3 series.

Wow I didn't realize this was a thing. Did the CA have any idea how long that approval process typically takes each year?

There is at least one video showing the 2025 M340 sitting on what I can only assume is a North America dealer's lot (posted Sept 1). So there are some that are already out there.

Might be something port specific approval wise and/or just normal custom's related stuff.

If you could can you link that video? It’s not that youtube shorts video right? I believe it is this video https://youtube.com/shorts/lp2yXW544...rngPZphbaBzFPv

Mine was on that status for 3 days. Just moved to Ready for Transport today. Now I expect it to stay here for at least 2 weeks (per what Genius said).

Hopefully we see some change soon to In Transit. I can’t imagine my car with production date for 8/27 is just sitting waiting for a train still. It’s stuck at “Ready for Transport”

It will likely stay Ready for Transport for around 3 weeks then jump to In Transit.

My car went Ready for Transport a few days ago and the dealer claims the car will arrive to the dealership (Georgia) before the end of the month. I highly doubt that, lol.

Yeah, I’m just going by my timeline. Dealers are very ‘generous’ with their estimates. However, I wish you a quick process!

Called the genius hotline again and was told that my vehicle is at the port, it must mean yours is too. They are waiting to assign it a carrier and it’ll be on the boat!

Why does it seem like the Mexico builds and ship take exponentially longer than the Germany ones? Seem highly inefficient. I called the Genius yesterday and my car was done on 8/8 according to them and still waiting to get on a boat. At this point I may just start shopping for a new one.

There are general delay with everything, could be related to their brake recall. Mine has been scheduled for production for over 2 weeks.

Global supply chain logistics. There are more U.S. bound vehicles and industrial heavy equipment manufactured in the Mexico than in Germany. BMW, Audi/Volkswagen, GM, Ford, Stellantis, Kia/Hyundai, Nissan/Infiniti, Mazda, Toyota, Honda, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebheer, Hitachi, and Volvo are all competing for shipping resources (trucks, rail, and vessels) out of Mexico.

Makes sense. I was able to build and get my wife a new Lexus all within 6 weeks.
