pretty sure with so many new models upcoming and with the current EVs, they are eliminating options/combinations etc.

I just ordered a 2025 M440i xDrive Coupe. Ventilated seats were available as an option but only on two leather choices, neither of which were the one I wanted/ordered. Sort of disappointed. It's interesting to hear about this being due to shortages. I was wondering why they wouldn't want to offer it with more leather options.

[rant] The model/option limitations BMW(and all car manufacturers!) are imposing are ridiculous and unpleasant! Oh, you want the small cubby by your left knee? - get extended full leather interior for $$$! Oh, you want width adjustable seat back? - get real leather! Oh, you want ventilated seats? - get 4 or 5 series!...and on and on...[/rant]

I loved the previous generation 4 series but when they released the huge teeth I went off bmw. Went to Audi. Then we were shopping for a second car and I saw the m340i that has the classic grille and placed an order.
If the 4 series had the option for the classic grille I would have ordered that. I’m always staring at the 4 series but not for a good reason. People always say the grille grows on them and they don’t fall in love with them at first sight. Well you know what, the human mind is very good at adapting. |

I was wondering why the M3 CS at my dealer still had the small cubby for storage. The leather dash option includes leather on the lower part of the dash.So maybe that is all you need to order to get the small storage cubby.Whats interesting is that the CS also still had the puddle lights in the lower part of the doors.

“There have been countless of social media comments bashing the oversized nostrils, but it turns out, BMW might be onto something. The BMW 4 Series family had 50,777 sales in 2023. To put things in context, the G20 BMW 3 Series only had 33,997 units sold to customers in 2023.” Source: BMWBlog The “teeth are ugly what is BMW thinking?” narrative is dead. Now, you can choose not to like it of course, but that actually makes you an outlier. |

According to the BMW of North America Pricing Guide for the 2025 4-Series LCI Coupe (G22), Front Ventilated Seats (4FH) are only available for Black Vernasca Leather (MAH7) or Mocha Vernasca Leather (MAMU).

I'm not sure the sales figures show that people like the grille on the 4 series better than the 3 series. I am expecting delivery on a 430i next week and ordered it not because I like the grille on the 4's better (I don't) but because I like the form factor of the 4's better and can tolerate the grille enough that it is less important to me than the other reasons I prefer the 4 over the 3.

asolare - exactly! The hatch door is so much more practical and the silhouette is sleeker and more interesting for the 4-series. In Europe where you can buy G21(the touring variant) the bizarre(aka hideous) front end of the 4 stands no chance.

Listen, just because it used to be a popular forum narrative to dump on the G26 a couple of years ago doesn't mean you have to pander to the crowd here just to fit in. Man up. |

The masses have spoken, they voted with their wallets, and the G26 is the best-selling 4-door sedan/coupe BMW offers. You and your soccer mom wagon can't win this argument, a 3 Series Sedan owner can't win this argument, an M3 owner can't win this argument. No one can. It's over. The G26 took the body blows and came out the champion. It's quite a success story. BMW took major chances and it worked. Splendidly. |

toddwalton - sorry, but ugly beaver teeth owner has no say in any kind of styling discussion. STFU and keep being delusional about G26's front end. Suck it up - it's ugly but a great car otherwise

The Gran Coupe with M Sport package looks super aggressive. The grille looks bad only if you focus on it. If you let it merge with the rest of the front end, it actually looks pretty nice. Here's a comparison of a 4 Coupe with a chrome grille to an AC Schnitzer tuned Gran Coupe with a blacked out grille and an EU plate:
A night and day difference. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, though, I guess. I, personally, adore the look of the front end on the second pic. However, I agree that Todd is wrong. He lives in his US bubble and is skewing statistics to his own benefit. The overwhelming 4 series sales is purely a US stat and it's a combination of two reasons - no 3 series EV and no 3 series touring. It has literally nothing to do with the looks of the vehicle. Everywhere else in the world, the 3 series sales dwarf the 4 series's, especially if you remove the i4 EV out of the equation. They're even cancelling the model which speaks for itself. I just hope the Neue Klasse platform gets a liftback style some day, as I really like the form factor. Last edited by blue_seather; 04-29-2024 at 04:59 AM.. |
