Okay, soccer mom. Whatever you say. After all, someone who drives a station wagon must know all the latest skirt and blouse trends.

The US is BMW's single biggest market! It's not a bubble; it's what sets the direction for the entire corporation.

No one buying a car at this level of price/luxury is going to deliberately choose one that he thinks has a hideous front end. That is a laughable position to take, that enthusiasts and regular drivers alike consumed with brands and public perception here in the social media era would turn a blind eye to the very face of the vehicle itself for what, a lift back? A battery pack? When they already own an SUV or could easily afford an electric as a second or third car? What idiot would do that? LOL, nice try.

The 'bubble' are people in denial how they were incredibly wrong about the 4 Series. Instead of getting defensive, they should apologize. All G26 owners are owed an apology based on how we have been treated the last 3+ years.

The point is it's 2024 and the days of the 4 Series put-downs are over. There was a contest. A four-door midsize form factor Championship. The 4 Series won. The 3 Series lost. Shocking, I know.

You don't have to be like the few remaining rats following the Pied Piper. I'm positive that next week when you're driving around in yours you will just love the front end. And you'll love all the compliments you get from complete strangers each week. I had another one just this morning.

Pretty sure China is BMWs biggest market, which is one reason we're seeing redesigns with obnoxious grills.

2023 (Full Year) Global: BMW and MINI Sales Worldwide
January 9, 2024 by Henk Bekker
In full-year 2023, the BMW Group (including MINI) increased worldwide sales by 6.5% while battery-electric car sales increased by 74%.

In 2023, China was again by far the most important single-country market for BMW with almost a third of global output. The USA was the second-largest market for BMW followed by Germany.

"followed by Germany". I'm pretty sure that if you count Europe as one single market, the US is smaller than that. Also, look at the global 3 vs 4 series sales. I've posted it somewhere before, and it's not even close for the 4 series. I'll repeat myself once again - I adore the 4 series and hate to see it being sold less than the 3 series but facts are facts, that's it. Also, as I already mentioned - they are pulling the stops on the 4 series. Those LCIs are the last we're going to see from it. If it was so hot, they'd never do this.

But then you mentioned spec of US cars, I guess while mostly in here we were discussing the lack of ventilated seats in Europe

Oh, I’m sorry. I posted a message about not getting ventilated seats for the car I just ordered because they were only available in two colors. Then you quoted my message and said, “which leather options those were?” So I responded with the two leather options that offered ventilated seats. Perhaps I misunderstood your reaponse to my message. I referred to the North American pricing guide because I bought a US-spec car (in Germany). I am a US citizen and will be returning to the US later this year. I hope that clears everything up. My apologies if there was a misunderstanding.

You often make mistakes, the country where the most BMWs are sold per capita is Belgium, then the country where the most BMWs are sold is Asia, then Europe, but not the United States.

Country or continent? I don’t care about the argument, but I am curious about the data. Asia and Europe are continents (full of countries) and the U.S. and Belgium are individual countries. I would of course assume entire continents like Asia and Europe sell more BMWs than single countries like the U.S..

Got this from the internet, “In 2023, China was again by far the most important single-country market for BMW with almost a third of global output. The USA was the second-largest market for BMW followed by Germany.”

Do any of you believe any of these LCI updates will trickle down to the 2-Series? (updated steering wheel, laser tail lights, etc..) ?

Mate, there's nothing to believe.

There's already "almost" official leaks about it 😉
