This is....a pump and dump?

I have great respect for Rmtt to be perfectly honest though, I'm happy he's sharing this stuff, but just the way you made it sound I wanted to poke a little fun at it as though you were trying to get us all to buy in to raise the price so you can dump it!

Yes, I am definitely pumping up a stock on a car forum within a thread I didn't even create.

Please realize that there is already a Kia in our driveway...a $46K Kia Niro EV that is my wife's daily driver. Korean cars have historically had a bad reputation for being cheaply built, but that thing is put together quite well and shows the influences of the BMW engineers and management that Hyundai/Kia poached from Germany.

On the topic of commodities, has anyone looked at Lexan/plexiglass sheet producers yet? With the reopening rush to build COVID cough barriers in retail/schools/restaurants/public transportation, one would think that clear plastic sheets would be hotter than toilet paper a few months ago.....

I would hate for someone to lose money off of my suggestion. I tell you when I get in....I try to show as much justification as to why...but in the end it's still a decision on your side. I want everyone to do well.

Reading what non-institutional investors are looking for and why they think that way has been more informative than that entire pile of books to me.

Like I wrote, I'm playing with money that I already consider lost in the market, so I can afford to lose it with no regrets.

In case anyone cares, these are my new holdings this past week from discussions in this thread:

AIKI 6/29/2020 @ $0.88
DLPN 6/29/2020 @ $0.8914
TORC 6/29/2020 @ $2.20
XSPA 6/30/2020 @ $4.29

I'm in it purely for the sport, not gambling away my next mortgage payment or retirement account.....
I think that the first 3 you listed will be a pleasant surprise within the next 2-3 weeks. Xspa..is a longer term hold for me. I have read all of the rumors...seen the job postings in different cities by them, and I know what they are trying to accomplish. But it's something that will take awhile.

Plus the CEO is smart...and he has a reputation to keep. All of that and more is why I feel like they are a good long term investment. All it would take is a PR announcing they have signed contracts with 2-3 other airports...and it will be fun to watch.

I think Southwest is the better buy. Don’t get me wrong, I have a long position in DAL but I think they’ll continue to hemorrhage cash and come out of this a much smaller company post Covid which means less earnings.

When our company lifts the travel restrictions, I’ll still only fly Delta but I’ll need to see how they treat their Diamonds with upgrades and such, running on a smaller scale.

I have no doubt that this stock will fly (pun intended) once air travel opens up, especially if they are doing while-you-wait COVID testing at major airports.

I did a watch list for a few of the stocks hyped on Cramer's TV show one evening about 5 years ago purely out of curiosity, and even his recommendations didn't seem to move the price enough over the next few weeks to say it was a pump-and-dump.....

46k for a Kia? At that price range, you could have easily got a Model 3/Model Y.

I don't think any of these stocks have any value based on their earnings. None of them have any earnings.

I'd argue that the Kia is put together better than the Tesla options that you listed. On top of that, the Kia still qualifies for the $7,500 federal EV rebate, and I believe that Teslas are also excluded from our state's instant $2,000 EV down payment to the dealership because of their business model not having franchised dealers like every other manufacturer.....

Welcome to 2020 where everyone is an investor and no one cares about the numbers, or logic for that matter.

This is the very point that makes my logic-based brain start want to toss crew members out of airlocks and lock the pod bay doors!!!!!

Interesting...recently read an article on the Telluride; seems impressive for sure.

I'm guessing this brand in general still suffers from massive depreciation when comparing new to slightly used..?? If so, that's where the real value comes into play...at least with non-EV models.

Most of the stuff I'm in isn't because of earnings....as earnings suck across the board for most companies since the virus. Well DLPN...but mainly because of the way they will "spin" things.

The catalysts im interested in are the products they are working on. I will say this. Look at the prices of the following when I mentioned them:
Torc, Prpo, Aiki, Dlpn, Ibio.

All of these have multiple things happening. Merger, drug trials, etc that are in process.

Let's see what happens in the next 3-4 weeks...how much the price changes between when I first mentioned them....and in a few weeks.

Yes...the logic for investing makes no sense.

I'm sure Ktov and Gnus....and let's not forget Xspa....didnt look good on paper. The lowest return I had between them was about 200%.
