New 330e M Sport ordered
After a short hiatus I am coming back to a BMW.
I managed to check out the G20 petrol cars at Paris motor show last year, then I sat in the 330e in the Geneva motor show Back in 2006 I had a E90 320si as my first company car - I managed to kill two engines in said car (see my posts on here). Was an awesome car. Then went for a F10 520d SE which was very sedate and ultra reliable. Then I made wrong turning somewhere and decided to get a Peugeot 308GT hatch, which is good but has had its fair share of bad luck...Police crashing into back of me, weird fault messages.... Anyhow I am back in a BMW G20 330e M Sport. So had to think about the options more this time. As the deal through my lease company was crazy cheap... So I have gone for Portimao Blue - wanted Orange though Cognac leather M Sport Plus pack Technology pack Driving Assistant Pro pack Lumbar support Extended Storage I really wanted laser lights and comfort but it was a bridge too far. Been told by lease company its Oct for delivery but I'm on hols end of Oct for 4 weeks so will get as a nice early Christmas pressy in December.

I might live to regret it when it arrives... :-) Have you got a production + delivery date? They seem pretty random. Some folks on here ordered weeks before me but have the same dates, others only a week before me but delivery is a month earlier. My leasing company is telling me late Sept for delivery but BMW Genius says mid Oct... who knows!? :-) Last edited by tricky6; 07-19-2019 at 03:42 PM.. |

I ordered three 330e on the 17 of April, the first one arrives in the first week of September, the other two in the third week of October only, so in the UK you are getting faster deliveries than me in Portugal.

Order has been accepted by lease company but no production date or delivery yet. I'm not too fussed about delivery being delayed as I'm away in India on hols in Nov so don't want a car a few days before going away. I found out today 12% BIK will apply if you have RFTs, non RFTs have 8% BIK . Thinking maybe swap M Sport Plus for laserlights...Sun protection but then again I'm looking forward to the 19s and RFT - they have saved me a few times before. Might be on the Autobahn in the first few weeks...

I was told that only the 330e SE with 17" wheels qualifies for 8% BIK, all others are 12%. The website is misleading with the 41 miles range non-RFT/RFT thing. Having tried a standard M Sport (with non-RFT) I found the ride generally too firm hence going adaptive. The M Sport + 19" and blacked out bits also look a lot better IMO. Although since found out that the 330e M Sport doesn't actually have M Sport suspension. Hmm, would have been good if they'd told me that before ordering... I had an F30 with an Oyster interior, it was 7+ years old when I sold It. My wife and I both wear jeans a lot but the Oyster interior looked newish even after 7 years. I used BMW leather cleaner to remove any marks. My present G20 also has an Oyster interior. |

I'm sticking with all the options planned and hell with 12% BIK as I am paying much more than now (2.0 HDi Peugeot)...Still toying with Orange though shame its not an exclusive orange for M Sport models.
Looks like car us now on order, landing at dealer 11 Dec (at my request). So probably a Nov build car. I will see if I can get production slot info from BMW Corporate as my lease company will go why do you want that.....??

Checked with BMW so my Body in white will start 21st October, trim fitting will be from 4th November, car lands at stealer on 25th November and hopefully when I'm back from hols I will collect my car.
Been told need to decide on final spec by 14th Oct next week...hmm do I go for the orange, stick with Portimao, change to Mocca from Cognac...hmm

I do like the mocca seats more than Cognac. They look more modern. I noticed the lower dash becomes cognac...so will no doubt mark easily!
