G20 OEM Carbon fibre spoiler fitting
Hi guys,
I recently purchased the OEM CF spoiler for my G20 but I am struggling with the installation using 3M VHB tape. BMW suggest using Betalink which I am trying to avoid for now. Has anyone had luck installing it properly using 3M tape? The spoiler just doesn't stick in the area pictured below. The gap is very minimal and the 3M isn't holding, almost like it's not making contact even when pressed down(tape is right on the edge). Any tips or tricks from anyone who has installed this exact spoiler using 3M? I've installed many spoilers in the past with no issues but this one hugs the boot and more difficult with tape. Any suggestions on what tape to us or how to install will be appreciated. |

If this is OEM then exchange it thru warranty. Last edited by Encanto; 02-01-2022 at 12:21 PM.. |

The only way to get that part to sit flush is by applying pressure. Even when test fitting it does not sit flush. |

I just managed to get a replacement from BMW so will try to use 3M again and see. If it doesn't work then I guess it wasn't a carbon fibre issue but more of a 3M issue. The only way left would then be betalink unfortunately
