To be honest, I'm not sure. I've only used it for my most recent order and there were no issues found.

I wonder if the engine plant in Germany being closed is now starting to impact over here, the news releases mentioned it being shut down with the other german plants. Could be worth investigating further

I saw plenty of articles by now that the plants in Germany started opening last week already and are ramping up to full capacity.

On a side note, I got the acknowledgment that my car entered production last week actually in the Munich factory
There will be delays most likely but it seems they (BMW) kept it under control the best way possible

Everyone's saying this. Mine still hasn't gone back to "In Transit" a second time yet, but it cleared VPC yesterday (about 31 hours ago) and according to Genius and my CA it's on the truck headed to the dealership now.

I don't know for sure though and it's weird that the tracking site hasn't updated.

That was quick! Genius today said they didn't have an update for me at the moment. Status says at port, just wondering when it will clear VPC and get on a truck. No recalls at the moment.

I had an estimated carrier pickup date of yesterday, but the status still shows "at the port," and Genius says no carrier pickup yet.

BMW faces production delays due to part shortage, and Genius probably gives the best case estimate. I hope that our cars will be completed this week or early next week.

Don't worry about being stuck on "ready for transport" too much. I was on that status for I think like 9 days then all of a sudden I jumped 4 stages forward in the matter of like 2 hours one morning. I called Genius....my car was already on a boat the day prior. The status tool can be definitely hit and miss a lot of times.

I got the confirmation today that the car entered the paint booth yesterday!

Regretfully, the Sales Rep said it could still take 1 to 2 months from this point. I'd expect it a bit faster since it does not have to be shipped by boat since I live in a country next to Germany.

It might still get on a boat, depending on which country you're in. My boat went from Germany to Belgium before it took off across the Atlantic. Though you may be lucky enough and it just gets right on a truck transport to your country.

The boat transportation and time at the ports has certainly been the longest amount of time for me. My progress points are in my original post in this thread:

Basically, it got to the port in Bremerhaven on Feb 9th, and didn't get on a boat to come here til Feb 18th. Then it finally got to Brunswick, GA port on March 14th and has spent the last 11 days getting unloaded, went through quality check again, marked off as no recalls or stop sales, released by VPC a few days ago on March 22nd. It SHOULD be on a truck headed to my dealership right now but honestly who knows. No one can tell me anything other than the VPC released it to the trucking company.

All of this to say that I'm hoping you don't have to deal with this mess and it just gets straight on a truck headed your way. Good luck!

If your car was released to the trucking company on 3/22 it should be at your dealership any day now, especially if it's only going from GA to FL. Our car was also shipped to Brunswick. I got the name of the trucking company from our dealership and was able to contact them to confirm pick up and estimated delivery date. YMMV.
