My 2023 G22 M440i xDrive build
I have enjoyed seeing others build experiences here and I thought I would add my own M440i xDrive Coupe build experience to the mix. I ordered the vehicle on December 2nd as optioned below. The dealer did not have an allotment but was confident that they would have one in January.

I was able to add the car to my MyBMW account using the Production Number at that time and showed as “Scheduled for Production” (112) on that site. January 17th MyBMW showed the car at the “Production Begins” stage (150) where it is as of this posting. Once it got to this stage, I could see the VIN number on the "My Garage" page. I was then able to check the vehicle options and production date using the F12 Chrome browser trick (see the fourth post down by “1Mors” at https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1903925 if you are unfamiliar with this trick). If those are the actual options that are making it on the vehicle then the only option that did not make my build that I ordered is the “3MQ BMW M 50 Years Emblems” which I was a bit torn on getting them in the first place so I won’t be that disported. The production date shown is "2023-02-01". Hopefully it gets built as shown and onto a boat sometime in February. |

Similar situation, ordered my 430iX G26 / GC model 29-December and got production number on the 30th. Aventurin Red with red vernasca leather and all the fun stuff, like Laserlights, DAP and PAP packages but they took ZDH on day 1 and then told me that Adaptive M Suspension is not available? Interesting since I can add it to any M440i model including the G26 / GC-based models.
It was already "order received" on the 30th and went to "Scheduled for Production" on 2-January with "Week 5" or 2-February build date. I went to "Today's the Day" on 16-January, but stationary since. Usually it's 10 to 14 days before it starts moving, right?

Mine currently says “Today's the day: your BMW has entered the production queue.”. If yours says the same you should be able to pull up all the info I did using F12 on the “My Garage” page, not the “Track My BMW” page where the “Today's the Day" is shown. My dealer told me an early February build date but from what I have seen looking around that seems to commonly be the date it finishes production which lines up with my F12 data. If this is correct you should be showing “Production Begins” anytime now if it isn’t already. |

It sounds like you should be able to pull up all your data with F12 now and your VIN should also be showing.
The options displayed when using F12 all have a “0” preceding the option and you will probably show about 30 more options then you have on your order. Those extra options are….. Country specific emissions Sub components for other options Items that used to be options that are now standard equipment Subscription services and other assorted items. I had nothing better to do so I ID’ed all the items on my F12 option list to the best of my ability. If anyone finds any errors, please post corrections. I didn't step through it line by line, but everything looks right to me.
I did notice that as much as people have been using this F12 thing (in Chrome, to display the option code list), I wonder why nobody has noticed (or at least not mentioned here, as far as I can find) that there is an exhaustive option code list with all the minor details including any / all default options, like "Paddle Shifters", etc. It's in the hive called Production_Vehicle_Details and the "0", which once expanded shows an "carimageURL" that has a very long (1500+) string labeld "sa=" followed by global & US_option codes for every single thing in the vehicle. Here's mine - it looks like this: "https://cache.bmwusa.com/cosy.arox?brand=WBBM&client=byo&vehicle=234T&paint =P0C57&fabric=FMAG6&sa=S0ZAX,US_S0ZAX,S0ZDY,US_S0Z DY,S0ZMP,US_S0ZMP,S0ZPK,US_S0ZPK,S0ZPP,US_S0ZPP,S0 ZSQ,US_S0ZSQ,S0ZTM,US_S0ZTM,S0ZX1,US_S0ZX1,S0ZX2,U S_S0ZX2,S0ZX3,US_S0ZX3,S01CB,US_S01CB,S01CR,US_S01 CR,S02TB,US_S02TB,S02VB,US_S02VB,S02VC,US_S02VC,S0 2VL,US_S02VL,S0248,US_S0248,S03BE,US_S03BE,S03DZ,U S_S03DZ,S03FS,US_S03FS,S03MF,US_S03MF,S03M2,US_S03 M2,S0302,US_S0302,S0319,US_S0319,S0322,US_S0322,S0 33B,US_S033B,S0337,US_S0337,S04AW,US_S04AW,S04KC,U S_S04KC,S04NE,US_S04NE,S04UR,US_S04UR,S0403,US_S04 03,S0430,US_S0430,S0431,US_S0431,S0459,US_S0459,S0 487,US_S0487,S0491,US_S0491,S0493,US_S0493,S0494,U S_S0494,S05AC,US_S05AC,S05AL,US_S05AL,S05AP,US_S05 AP,S05AR,US_S05AR,S05AU,US_S05AU,S05AV,US_S05AV,S0 5AZ,US_S05AZ,S05DN,US_S05DN,S05DS,US_S05DS,S0534,U S_S0534,S06AC,US_S06AC,S06AE,US_S06AE,S06AK,US_S06 AK,S06C4,US_S06C4,S06DR,US_S06DR,S06U3,US_S06U3,S0 645,US_S0645,S0655,US_S0655,S0688,US_S0688,S07M9,U S_S07M9,S0704,US_S0704,S0710,US_S0710,S0715,US_S07 15,S0754,US_S0754,S0760,US_S0760,S0775,US_S0775,S0 8KL,US_S08KL,S08R9,US_S08R9,S08SM,US_S08SM,S08TN,U S_S08TN,S0823,US_S0823,S0842,US_S0842,S0845,US_S08 45,S0853,US_S0853,S0925,US_S0925,S0992,US_S0992,&p ov=walkaround&angle=270&bkgnd=transparent&resp=png &height=300" As you can see, the minutia of every single thing, no matter how minor is detailed in there, as strings of "S0xxx,US_S0xxx" where 'xxx' is each individual item in the car build. Mine has '704" but should have "2VF" (Adaptive M Suspension). I am now told you can't get "AMS" in this specific model, although you can spec it in any M440i-based model, G26 or not and it's accepted. I also have seen people here with Week 3 or Week 4 builds (now running about two weeks ahead) with Adaptive Suspension in their 430i or 430iX G26-based vehicles. I'm less than pleased. Truly on the cancel and re-order MY24 at this point. I started with ZDH Dynamic Handling in my build code. The fact is I don't bitch a lot, but I am permanently disabled. There were different tires, wheel rims, etc. Now, mind you at this point now that I was convinced to go with xDrive the 860M rims with non RF All Season tires make more sense because I just moved to the 4300' level of the NC mountains.

I would absolutely refuse delivery if the vehicle if isn’t exactly what you want. If you wanted to compromise then I’m sure you would find something already on a lot to purchase.
It seems that the M430i line is getting things cut before the M440i line which I suppose makes some economic sense from BMW’s point of view. I think it’s a bit of a sign of the times with supply chain issues ongoing so I’m not sure there’s anyone to blame but for what you are spending you should get what you want. |

Well, I’m still sitting at “Production Begins” as of this morning (Jan 25th).
It still shows a February 1st production date so hopefully it will move along quickly once it gets going. |

I expect it will be to "Final Assembly" soon. EDIT: I jumped all the way to "Dispatched from Factory" today, so I'm just waiting on a 6-hour trip to Bremerhaven once a RORO is ready to suck it up.

Not to be too much of a buzzkill, but hope y'all are patient. Placed my order for my M440i xDrive coupe on Sep 19, 2022. It was built by mid-Oct, and then it sat...and sat...and sat "awaiting courier assignment"...til just after the new year.
I was promised a December delivery, and I still don't have it. I'm in California. And now my X5 M50i needs new tires, and I'm not buying fricking tires. Update: My ship just passed thru the Panama Canal. So soon... Last edited by bigmak76; 01-28-2023 at 12:18 AM.. |

Well my build is still showing “Production Begins” as of this posting (Jab 28th).
I am patient and I really don’t need/want the car before spring but it would be nice to see some progress comparable to other builds currently posted. I may breakdown and call the BMW Genus line on Monday to see if they can see any details if it doesn’t show any progress on the website by then. |

Just an FYI in case you don't already know, 4FH Front ventilated seats uses different seats that have less sporty non-adjustable side bolsters. I initially ordered with ventilated seats as well, but dropped it after I learned how it was implemented.

I guess they added the “Flux Capacitor” option as it looks like my build has caught up for lost time and may actually be completed on the production date (today).

My salesman called to let me know the car had made it to the port this morning.
I had already assumed that as it moved to "Dispatched from factory" this morning and the tracking seems to run behind. So just waiting to get on a boat and head across the Atlantic now. The 430iX GC went from "At the port" to "In Transit" yesterday. Looks like 26-Feb for arrival at port Brunswick GA ("SSIPOA" is the code on the top right of your Vehicle Inquiry report, assuming your CA gave you one).
I am fairly certain that Brunswick is the only port of entry for the eastern US, coming in from Bremerhaven / Germany or from Mexico plant. Those all go to the PC in Greer ("Spartanburg") which is also the VPC for all vehicles coming into the US except for those sent to the west coast.

I’m not sure where you got that information from but BMW defiantly ships into the port of Baltimore and BMW has a VDC/VPC center there. My Vehicle Inquiry report shows “BALPOA”.
