Dash Cam - Blackvue DR900S-2CH & Cellink Neo6 Battery

Apologies if repeated but I am looking for specific advice on this install into my G20, particularly in the following areas:

1. Fuse selection
2. Best location for the Cellink battery & how to secure
3. Best route for the cables to avoid air bags
4. Trim removal methods (How to)
5. Any issues, things to avoid

Thanks Tam. I have this install saved as plan 'B' but really wanted to use the fuse box in the drivers footwell and if possible install the battery in the same location because one member has had DAB issues from the dash cam battery installed in the boot. I have done weeks of research and just need to confirm things before I start.

I'm also interested in installing my BlackVue Battery (B124) battery. I was planning on using the Trunk - F212 Media (fuse) as it is 15amps.
Still have to test if this fuse shuts off - waiting for my tester to come in.
It was recommended to use 10amps or higher if using a mini fuse.

In the write up above he used fuse 273 which is Power to 12V sockets & shuts off after 7 minutes. If I put the battery in the boot I was thinking of using this one but it is the larger type fuse.

I know unfortunately, when I got the cables, the manufacturer only gave me the Mini fuse tap as they felt I should use that in a BMW (even though asked for the larger fuse type). So I'm gonna try that fuse and if it doesn't work, I'll end up probably using F273 from that previous thread

Did you manage to get the correct fuse?

I have installed the cameras following the guide and I am waiting for the battery to arrive. Decided to put it in the boot area.

I did. I used the Media Fuse (F212) in the trunk.
Works perfectly - although just as a note, I was initially concerned as the DashCam battery showed it was still charging when I would check it. I noticed that when the key was near, the car still provided full power to all of the fuses (even after 10 minutes).
When I put the key out of range, everything worked as expected - the car shutoff and the Dashcam battery was being used.

That's strange as I thought the key shut down after a period of inactivity therefore its proximity to the car should be irrelevant. So are you saying that if the key is close to the car the fuse will get power indefinitely?

All I can say is that trying to test it was challenging. After 15 minutes of having the car keys on me, it still wouldn't shutoff - only when I moved the keys far out of reach did it work.

I do agree with you in that getting all settings correct is a challenge. I have the install as I want it but I am still learning and I am not sure that the parking mode is working as I want it to work.

Did anyone try if the Cellink NEO fit under the passenger seat in the G20? Thanks
