Control buttons don't click

My back and options buttons both don't click. It's as if they are stuck in the lower position. I can still press the button but I don't get the tactile click it normally has
I don't think anything got stuck beneath it because I don't eat in the car. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Huh? They are real buttons, just on a single clickable panel. Definitely not capacitive touch.

For mine, if power is shut down after sometime, pressing the media, Nav, map, com, home, back or option button, it doesnt have tactile feeling. It is touch sensitive button on mine. Where as the auto start stop and driving select buttons, they are real buttons.

Interesting. I wonder if it’s the same in our NA cars as well.

U can use thick cloth covered your finger and try pressing. It will be different from the multimedia buttons near the dial and the drive mode/auto start stop button that row.

I'm talking about the buttons surrounding the dial. They normally click down with a feeling and sound but for me they feel stuck down and don't really click anymore. You can still get them to work but it's definitely not working properly.

Mine is the same. I noticed it immediately as my wife’s 1 series works perfectly and was delivered the week before. Planning to book in tomorrow but lived with it for 3 months. Mine works, but just doesn’t have the click or sometimes the buttons at the top make an awful cheap sounding noise.

The ones in my car aren't touch sensitive. It's a proper button. Like the drive select and parking sensor buttons.

Did you try wrap a thick cloth around your finger or use a plastic stick and try pressing it? If not, u wait for power off then try pressing the button. See if it clicks. Mine dun click if no power.

Yes there was power. I'll try using a cloth tomorrow and see if it makes a difference. With power on, it clicked normally like the other buttons.

The buttons are not touch sensitive (capacitive). They are clickable buttons over a common plastic cover.
Mine has done it couple times (not clicking) but after a few presses it sort of resets itself to the 'up' position.
