Have people who added in the parking assistance package for the MY22s m340i been able to add and keep it on their builds after production?

I think about it like this: I was originally going to keep my current car for 6 years, but I was at just a hair over 5 when I ordered. So the longer it takes, the more "responsible" I'm being. Sure. That's the ticket.

My 2022 M440 has arrived on the Sirius Highway at its final port of Charleston.

Can anyone tell me at what stage I can call the Genius line to get an idea of when I can schedule my delivery at the performance centre?

My car has the parking package so I also wonder if it'll get delayed with any necessary retrofits.

Order was placed by dealer on the 16th of June.

It's appropriate to call the Genius line right now because these are all questions they'll be happy and able to answer.

Just got off the line with them. Car is on hold waiting for cameras to be retrofitted. Genius could not give any ETA but said that native the dealership could have an idea of how long it might be. Disappointing to know I'm gonna to have to wait longer but there's not much the company can do considering the state of the world.

Today marks two weeks that my car has shown "At the port" on My Garage, which wouldn't be so bad if seven ships hadn't loaded and headed out to Baltimore while my car waited, all while it says "Bon Voyage!" on the website. That is irritating.

Meanwhile, I'm seeing M340i's coming off lease with very low miles and options that are no longer available on 330i's for 2022. Hmmm.

I am in the same "non-boat" as you. 2 weeks at port on my m440

So if I understand correctly.....your car offloaded in Charleston but is waiting on camera parts and PCD is still not scheduled.....

Where is the car now? How much notice will the Performance Center give for delivery?

Mine has been at the port in Germany for a week.....PCD not scheduled yet....

My 2022 M440i X-Drive Convertible has started production:

7/16 Order placed
7/16 Scheduled for production
7/28 Production begins (VIN assigned)
8/06 Exterior body assembly begins

My car has stalled. Still in the body shop with a completion date of 8/24, according to BMW Genius. My guess is that the body has not been started. How could the factory accommodate enough cars in one place that it was started 5 working days ago and is still in the body shop?

Thinking positively here, maybe BMW Tracking is not updating correctly. Maybe your car is already made and at the port, and maybe my car is about to dock in Baltimore. Or maybe BMW has the worst logistics team in the business.

I think their problem is with allowing all this tracking. It'd be simpler for them if they said nothing until the dealer called and said it had arrived.

Yes, that's right. Car is sitting at VPC in Charleston I guess waiting for those parts. When I spoke to my salesperson at the dealership, the Performance Centre let her know that they wouldn't schedule until the holds on the car were removed, so I need to wait until the cameras are installed.

It's quite frustrating as I also want to be able to arrange my travel schedule to fly out and for the drive back.

I intend to call the Genius line again next Wednesday, that'll have given them over a week so hopefully they will have an update.

It would be easier to wait if they could give some idea of when the parts will show up.

We just have to be patient in these crazy times......I missed out on PCD with my M340 last Spring due to covid cancellations and really want to do it for the M440...

I did do the M Experience there when I bought my e39M5 20 years ago....still have the shirt and a ton of great memories.....the wife beat my time on the obstacle course but the track experience kicked off 20 years of HPDEs with the BMW club and others for me....

My car moved to "In transit" overnight. The last ship to leave Bremerhaven that stops in Baltimore was the Carmen which left three days ago. I'll verify once Genius is open.

BMW Genius informed me that my car is on the Hoegh Trooper which left Bremerhaven on August 12 (yesterday) and is due to arrive in Baltimore on August 26. At least it's not sitting around gathering dust.

Found out from Genius that my m440 convertible is on the same boat! I put my order in on July 6th so I feel like this is a pretty good turnaround time...but will keep fingers crossed until I have the keys.

My car arrived in US on the 11th. No updates on camera stop-sale, however BMW told me my estimated date of arrival to dealership is August 19th… my guess is it will be sometime after that but we’ll see.
