Hi All,

Figured I would put come data points out there for my order, which I have since code-named "Creeping Tortoise":

G26 M440ix coming from the Munich, Germany factory and currently in "Dispatched from the Factory" heading for the Bremerhaven, Germany Port.

Note: These are the only statuses I ever saw "light up" on the My Garage Tracker.

[9/6] Order Received
[9/8] Scheduled for Production

• Initially scheduled for Wk38, pushed subsequently by 1 week until Wk44

[11/2] Production Begins
[11/11] In the Paint Booth
[11/15] Awaiting Carrier Assignment
[11/17] Dispatched from Factory

Notes on final build:
All options I was concerned about have not been deleted. These include (HK Audio, Parking Pkg with 360 View, Adaptive Suspension, to name the top ones I was concerned about). However, no touchscreen for me. But whatever Infotainment System is good enough to get Mat Watson's "best in the business" seal of approval without the touch is adequate in my book!

Now the wait for a boat. Would be great to catch the Nov 30th ride over (a direct float!)

My M440i GC arrived on the Hoegh Trapper on 11-26. It currently has a RAM Stop Sale blemish. I haven’t seen this discussed, but given these ostensibly random durations from port arrival to carrier assignment, could the wild card be whether the customer has made a down payment? I did make a down payment and my Vehicle Inquiry Report, next to the tab for “Priority” shows “1--Customer Sold”. Is this unique to me or does this priority appear on all orders? Have all customers made a down payment to place an order?

Asteria Leader vehicle carrier departed Bremerhaven Dec. 1. The car I ordered is supposedly on it according to GENIUS. Estimated to arrive at Port (Hueneme) on Dec. 27. Only calling at ports on the West Coast.

Every vehicle ordered by an actual customer will be P1 Customer Sold, down payment doesn't matter and it makes no different to BMWAG whether or not you put a downpayment.

Congratulations! Now prepare yourself for a long and bumpy ride. Your assembly process will complete pretty quickly, but then, unless you're lucky, you will enter "Quality Check Purgatory". My M340ix ordered on August 16, has been in QC for over 4 weeks. Others have waited 6+ weeks for their cars to move out of the factory. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but that's the reality.

I noticed, you seem to be all in on posting your Groundhog Day graphic every day.

To be honest, I don't mind, I just need the car before May, so I'm not too concerned, but I'll keep everyone updated on how it goes for me.

Well look at that, just popped into quality check today as well.

Guess we'll see how long it sits here for.

Mine actually entered final assembly later that day. I posted about it in the other thread.

I think it's a combination of people with HK audio and people who need software updates for the touchscreen delete. My car doesn't have HK since I couldn't get it, and my VIR for the order didn't show touch screen delete either.

Congratulations! Is yours being assembled in Mexico? I wanted the HK audio but didn't realize that it would slow down the process. I don't remember if the touchscreen was deleted or not.

I wanted it to but by the time I ordered it wasn't even there.

I just noticed today ICON LED's isn't there anymore, so that might have been taken away, glad I was able to get it.

I'm not aware of it being built in Mexico...

I see your location is New York, I'm curious to see how long the shipping will take. I believe they're still using a cargo ship to get them to the east coast.

I'll keep everyone updated. I hit 160 status, so the car is complete and now awaiting transit to port of exit and then transit to the dealer.

I just purchased a 330i xdrive that my dealer had already ordered. It's showing "in transit." How long could it take before it gets to the dealer? As you can tell, I'm a total noob. I appreciate any and all help!

Not really an answer but for what it's worth, the dealer I ordered my car from has three m340i's that have been "In Transit" for 4 weeks.

If being shipped by boat (I don't know where the 330i is manufactured) it could be in transit from either the port of origin to the destination port or from the destination port to the dealer.
