As always, too late to the market and too long in the market! The 4 series becomes seriously outdated when new 3 series comes out.

I sure love the E36 M3 too. Glad people are starting to appreciate more and more.
Full leather doorcards. Not just inserts, the whole panel.
Same for rear quarter panels.
Seatback covers
Whole lower half of dashboard, center console, armrest covers.

A cockpit style dash. The trunk is for storage, not the area in front of the gearstick.

BMW nailed great dashboard design, in late 80's.

(lo-fi pic)

Yeah and whenever you want to leave your keys or phone or spare change somewhere, just put those in the trunk.

Put everything in the trunk. Even your sense of logic or practicality.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the Kidney Grilles.

I don’t keep that stuff in the M3.

Besides, the glovebox and door pockets are more than enough storage space for such items.

It also has original door coinboxes on both sides.

Non SMG E36’s, so most, have a nice cubby under the OBC, perfect for a mobile phone.

The interior is exactly the same as the G20 less 2 doors...you were expecting something different?
The exterior design looks to be so close to my "19" 440i M Sport that the differences are negligible, which is fine by me...with the exception of course of the somewhat controversial "Kidney Grills". It still remains to be seen whether these will be something we love / something we can live with / a deal breaker. To each their own. As for the exhaust tips, I much prefer the classic round tips, and I am sure that there will eventually be an aftermarket solution to change out the trapezoids for those who absolutely must. The bottom line is that this car will be a much better performer both power and handling wise than the F22. The rest is negotiable.
That said, I will be the first kid on my block with a G82.

Inside it looks just like the 3 series, which is something we all expected. Why bother hiding it?

Most revealing G22 4 Series prototype photos yet, with a close-up of the kidney grilles underneath the camo.

Ooooo yeah! I feel a full reveal coming soon. The grilles are clear as day in the close up photographs of the front end. IF there are any doubters remaining at this point then they need clinic aid.

So a license plate is going to be mounted smack in the middle of the grille somehow? The camo pics show it this way, but this doesn't quite add up if the tall grilles are a key design feature?

Despite the suggested grill design polarizing both for and against constituencies, the grill is only a small part of the entire vehicle. I hope other elements of the vehicle will be receive as much attention from engineers working side by side with grill designers.

Not every state requires a front license plate. Can also mount the front plate off to the side via a front bumper tow hook mount.
