If someone in the Dfw area has a mpe exhaust I wouldn't mind setting a meet once quarantine has been lifted. Then we can get a side by side comparison.

It sounds good, but there's something about the 4 tips that doesn't look quite right. I wonder if one large one on each side might look better? A bit like the RS6 Vs the S6

Any pics with the polished tips? Also (I know this goes against your marketing so you'll probably say no) but can you turn the tips upside down so the Dinan logo isn't showing?

Yes. It's in the pipeline. Couldn't estimate release date with the current state of the global supply chain though.

Nothing with polished I'm afraid. As far as rotating the tips... You can do whatever you want but we won't do that as it defeats the purpose of branding.

Obviously you guys aren't going to turn them, I meant if I purchase them can I turn them so that it's a branding free tip? Or is there a "top" and "bottom" to the tips?

Technically there is a top and bottom but 99% of the market wouldn't know any better. The seam is located on the bottom (opposite of logo).

No plans for CF tips that I am aware of.

While TUV and those types of things do suck (and are expensive) they are all pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. The biggest limitation is, and always will be, access to the cars. Hard to develop hard product for cars you do not physically see and can touch yourself.

Good new is BMW manufacturing has actually come a long way in the past few decades and EU and NA spec vehicles are increasingly more of a blurred line which is great for both us and the consumer. Unfortunately, there are a few items, like the OPF, which are unique unto the EU market.

Is there any manual control of the valves to keep them open or are they 100% computer controlled? What happens if you don't plug them in?

100% computer controlled just like the factory valve although you can somewhat manipulate them with the drive presets after the cold start sequence. Valves open when you put it in Sport+ and close when in Comfort for example.

If you don't plug the valves in they would always be in the position they are left in (open or close). There would be a code also thrown (only visible on a scanner) but its a one way street down to the valves so it wouldn't actually throw a CEL.
