Good day of football today, makes up for all the mediocre playoff games up to this point.

NFL Meme's Facebook page put up the most savage vid for this lol.

Coaches never want to put the blame for a loss squarely on the shoulders of one player, but I think it's a safe bet to do that this time around. I don't care that he's a rookie, he's been playing football long enough to know how to make that stop.

Jokes aside, he is their 2nd rd pick. If coaches/players/media keep blaming him it'll drown his career. It's better long-term for the Saints to help this guy get over it otherwise it will stifle his development.

So what was he suppose to do...wait for the catch and then tackle?

Diggs could of ran OFB and there was still 4 sec in the clock to kick a FG

I think he was trying to time the tackle but didnt expect Diggs to jump that high

Agreed. He was trying to tackle low but Diggs made a move for the ball and somehow escaped the tackle. Great play on Diggs though. Unbelievable and epic ending for Vikings.

I saw it and I still don’t believe it. If they make the Super Bowl it’ll help erase the memory of the brutal losses in 98 and 09. I don’t know if I can take another one like that next week though, wow.

He’s supposed to use his arms, then maybe he would of at very least got a piece of Diggs. A lot of these youngsters don’t know how to tackle and wrap up. This whole lunging with your shoulder leads to stuff like this. An athletic receiver can leap, jump or hurdle over that horrible tackling technique.

Yeah, it was a damn good play call and somewhat of a poor defensive positioning by Williams. If Diggs makes that catch and is tackled, he's likely tackled out of bounds, which stops the clock and gives Minnesota a chance for GW FG. If he misses the tackle, Minnesota gets the GW TD. Should've contested better. Of course, easy to say in hindsight...gotta give credit to Minnesota for calling the right play.

Also, poor decision making by Saints not having more guys in coverage towards the sidelines and deeper back with 10 seconds remaining and Minnesota just needing a FG. Should've forced Minnesota to throw down the middle of the field and end the game.

Saints got screwed by the refs the entire game, it shouldn't have been that close at the end. That game was rigged like every NBA game since the 90's. Gene Steratore is the Tim Donaghy of the NFL.

So we are left with the following 4 QB's...the GOAT, Blake Bortles, Nick Foles, and Case Keenum. Awesome.

I do believe some games are fixed...but not this one

You cant fix a game with 10 seconds left at their own 25 yd line and throw a pass like that.

Agreed. And this was one of the few times the end score kinda screwed Vegas odds. The points were over and the Vikings didn't get the extra point to cover spread either

A lot of the young guys go for the glory kill shot kind of tackle..but he mistimed the hell out of this one and railed his own CB.

True! As much as I would have loved to get that win, I feel sorry for the kid. 21 year old rookie who will always be remembered for this play rather than an otherwise outstanding rookie year. But that's life, learn hard lessons some times... Overall I can't complain, the pundits had the Saints finishing 7-9 at best so a much better year than expected!

Worse defensive play versus incredible catch and run. A high school safety could have made that play. Simply stay on your feet and tackle or at least hold him up until your other team mates come and tackle him even if it was on the 5 yard line. Time would have simply ran out.

Man fuck them.

They aren't worth caring over. I only root for them because I have some city pride- but good riddance. I wish they would have taken them instead of the Sonics

Maybe, I’d never bet against them. But, I think the Jags are going to give the Pats all they can handle.

They are going to make Blake beat them, outside tight windows.... if he can do that well they earn it. Steeler hung up 42 and 500yards on the cats
